You can use it to zone in and get your mail and pop right outside the door with a quick right turn you have the bank across the street. This is so best.

It's the only one of my player housing I paid crowns for. Even furnished, it's pretty cheap for a quick port to Alik'r
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

I'm using the inn room in Daggerfall. It does not have a bank close, but it does have a merchant NPC right in front of the door that you can dump trash loot on, and a wayshrine right behind the building. Perfect as anchor for your BSW farming runs. Oh, and it's free.

I'm partial to the inn room in Mournhold, personally. When you exit the building, you are mere seconds away from a wayshrine that features a well-clustered crafting/writ hub and several major city guild traders. A few more seconds, and you're at the bank/re-spec shrines. Couple more seconds, and you can pick up all your Undaunted quests. Way less laggy than Grahtwood, and you don't have to deal with doors/loading screens to do your crafting. I don't care at all about decorating my home, so my inn room houses my training dummy. It will also house my storage containers when that goes live.

Sleek Creek House in Rawl'kha is also in very convenient location. The entrance to the thief's den is quite close... Not like this one knows anything about thieves...

If you do crafting/researching and banking in Daggerfall then Captain Margaux's Place is also very handy and not overly expensive. It also has a room next door with often useful container loot and another room opposite that with stuff to steal.

I am not a fan of the Inn apartments because there is always a second loading screen. ZOS has done nothing with the Inns themselves, so there is little reason to stop there, either.

What I want is a good place with outside access and services nearby.

If @ZOS_GinaBruno would go ahead an add these dudes we might get a Bros of the Beach house. Forget the luxury vendor...add these guys for renovations and awesomeness for housing updates.

It has the opposite problem from the inn tho - while bank is near, the wayshrine is far. I use wayshrine far more often than bank - if i am in PvE land, it is usually because im farming some set, and that means port to dungeon -> port to house -> port to dungeon etc. etc. But otherwise Margaux's is nice little house, yea.

There is no loading screen when exiting the inn in daggerfall. The screen just darkens for a sec when you click the door then you're outside.

I agree with you on loading screens, all the inn entrances are pretty much instant for me - certainly no longer than entering those houses which you arrive at via their grounds.

As for your first point, I use the wayshrine outside Daggerfall. Once I've finished at the top end by Margaux's I head down to the woodworking and dye stations, together with the stables, then use the Refuge outside (including the event containers nearby), check under the bridge for the usual chest, and then use the wayshrine. It's all pretty quick.

I do agree, incidentally, with the OP about the Sisters of the Sands Apartment, it's a nice room and quick to exit from. There's even a skyshard between the apartment and the wayshrine!

Apart from the look, Humblemud is a nice, inexpensive, little house for convenience purposes, since all the crafting stations/bank are all in the same building outside (except provisioner, which you can just add to your house if you wanted) Now if only it had an Undaunted Enclave and Crafting Writs

I have all the free inn rooms including the penthouse.
I have Sleek Creek as my main home.

Slowly but surely I'm buying all the staple homes one at a time.
Don't want or need the bigger homes. The staple ones can be decorated and are close to towns and serve as free ports.

And they are all good for one thing or another.

Sometimes I'm in the middle of nowhere and a quest sends me to another town at the far end of the map.
I port to my room in VG and the wayshrine is right outside the door.

Got a bounty..port to snugpod or sleek creek and get to the refuge safely.

Need to do daily writs..a number of homes are close to the crafting stations.

Yeah, but Sleek Creek is right on the edge of a town that has everything you possibly need in one compact space. Plus it's bigger and prettier. ;)
