✭✭✭✭✭They really need to change how this vendor works. What's the point in having her if we are subjected to the RNG nightmare. A PVP'r may have to wait 6 months (or more) before what they want shows up. It's just faster to run dungeons for the gear and get more crystals.

Well, the monster head and shoulders were always subject to RNG, so that's nothing new.
But now the necklace and ring selection is heavily diluted with all overland and dungeon sets - that's one way to look at it. The other way to look at it is that now we have the chance to get ALL non-trial sets in Gold quality, even if it means waiting longer for what we want. And we never know what "useless" sets someone else wants to use and get in gold quality.0 -

Maybe once Horns of the Reach isn't still relatively new content. Just because the Golden Vendor is RNG based doesn't mean that ZOS doesn't fiddle with the RNG. Having their new monster helms show up in the Golden too soon after the dungeon DLC drops would be a disaster for replayability.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭Honestly, I'd rather see jewelry be able to be upgraded by the player like any other armor piece, then waiting on chance for a piece you may need.
I understand it's a gold/AP sink. But waiting for RNG feels bad. I also understand it doesn't make or break your build to go from purple to gold unless you are pushing for leaderboards, but c'mon...how many players see all gold equipment until you get to your jewelry and groan?0 -

✭✭✭✭✭The consequence of ALL necklaces and rings now being available in gold is that sometimes you'll have "worthless" weeks.
"Worthless" in this case meaning non-meta, of course. I use the Knightmare set as a tank set option sometimes, even though I don't like it enough to spend the AP for it in gold. And Defiler's is only problematic because ZOS can't do the summon well.
Not every week is going to be Spriggans, Spinners, Necropotence, Spell Power Cure, Burning Spellweave or some "meta" set. Its the Golden Vendor, not the Golden Meta Vendor. Just be glad you can get some of those sets now in gold in the first place.Edited by VaranisArano on January 13, 2018 4:56PM2
