Should all main cities get their special “purpose”?
Currently only the capitals (Mournhold, Wayest, Eldenroot, Vivec)have superior functions (respec, master writ merchant, undaunted camp etc)that caused most ppl stay in those cities. Not exactly a bad design, but shouldn't other main cities gain same or different functions to make them “stayable”?
I kinda got used to look at crowds in this game but I still prefer to run in less populated cities, it feels more immersive for me. Also, I'm not sure what special features would you like to be implemented into those towns.
I get what your saying but for as long as I've played the game I've always gone to Riften to craft, use the bank, fence stolen goods and I can't really say why, it just feels like home. And I suppose if other cities were given additional functions I would still call Riften my home
...there is a reason those cities are the alliance capitals, you know...
It does indeed make sense for those specials to be available there, and not everywhere.
Doesn't mean you gotta stay there. I tend to park my characters where I feel they would be "at home", and pop over to the capital when I have a master writ to turn in, feel itching for a daily dungeon crawl or such...
It might be possible to go for other perks, if they ever were to add something race specific though. Like... a Argonian daily quest in stormhold, or a nord daily quest in Windhelm, a khajiit daily quest in Reapers March or a Altmer daily quest in Auridion, et cetera... or possibly special NPCs for something, you know, "go to the retired armsmaster in Kvatch to learn that special skill line..." kind of stuff...
I hate all the cities nothing to do aside from bank and dye armor... trader costs are so outrageous i just avoid em entirely and use a fb community dedicated to buying and selling at half the cost of a trader. So most cities are just a place to steal crap and watch ppl spam a skill 400 times to get attention
