Are there any really easy builds that enable you to have high dps?
What should I farm for?
Which skills should I use?
Will I need to learn how to weave if I'll want to make so much damage?
I have Julianos/IA right now, and I'm following Alcast's Pet MagSorc build. I think max was 22k, but it's usually around 17k. That's really bad.
Alcast is pretty spot on with his guide.
I would only put Necropotence before Julianos.
You don't have to weave to get acceptable results, but you should if you want GOOD ones. It's not hard to do, just a bit practice.
And I would guess that is why you're seeing that number difference. You probably don't have the rythm down just yet. It'll come to you, don't give up.
Are you doing stuff exactly like Alcast or what do you usually do? Mundus, food and so also identical? Elemental Drain up on target dummy?
The only big difference was that I opted for the Mage mundus stone (max magicka), not the Atronach (spell dmg), and I intend to change that. The second, I guess not that big difference, was that I opted for a Crushing Shock, not Force Pulse (mainly due to the fact that Crushing Shock is really great in vMA and in PvP).
I haven't tried the dummy yet, I've seen those numbers on vet Aetherian Archives trial that I tried recently (it was really depressing seeing how much I was being carried, hehe). I'm pretty sure we had elemental drain.
Granted, I'm still trying to get used to the build and I haven't played for a while (almost exactly one year ago), but still, I was following the rotation as much as I could and I'm pretty quick when it comes to pressing buttons, lol.
Well, then you can only really smooth out your rotation.
Maybe you should test your dps on the dummy, with Elemental Drain. Results will be less dependent on your group and might be more pleasing. If you're not being fed orbs and such in a long boss fight, you're bound to have a hard time with a light attack build.
Ping can cause some issues with rotation. If you have high ping.. oceanic players.. dont expect to get the same dps as someone with low ping na players. Its why i stopped bothering. 350 ping vs 100 ping.

It's a long trip to get to 35K DPS. Perhaps 0.5% of the players can do 40K and 3% can do 35K. Then you have the cheese-players, who boast awesome videos or guides but they only work on a 3M training dummy.
In a real environment, you cannot stand still, you won't get max penetration (unless you play in Hodor or similar guilds), you won't have just 3M hit points to kill but 60M and so on.
Plus, some bosses (even in the same trial) seem to have incredible resists compared to others.
It's really, really easy to fall in the 97% of the players who do below 35K.
I opted for a Crushing Shock, not Force Pulse (mainly due to the fact that Crushing Shock is really great in vMA and in PVP.
You made the right choice here, don't let anyone convince you to run force pulse. It's around a 1% DPS increase over crushing shock, and crushing will save lives (vHRC upstairs boss, Twins adds beaming from negates, everything in vDSA, vHoF spheres).
In reality either morph of force shock is lackluster this patch, unless you have a perfect asylum destro (then 40-45k becomes possible without pets). Try replacing 3X crushing shock with a shock clench and a lightning heavy attack, your sustain and damage will go up, especially if you have a Master Destro.
