Increases the duration of all Major buffs, Minor buffs, and damage shields you apply to yourself and allies by 40%- So this looks pretty OP especially on a sorc.. However this isnt what im really concerned about...

Ulfnor’s Favor (Heavy)
(2) Max Health(3) Magicka Recovery
(3) Stamina Recovery
(4) Healing Taken
(5) Increases the Magicka or Stamina your Heavy Attacks restore by 30%.

It seems to me this set is going to make heavy armor builds even worse.. I already have my build, s/b back bar this set for sustain and go with 5 pc damage set for my other one.. Stam DK here i come.. Any thoughts?

Another thing is no cp bgs again!? why keep swapping it, why not just have a cp and no cp version.

I like the AOE cap removal and the changes to interrupts (i think), and the changes to heavy attacks.... However this is your fix for perma block??? Change block reduction glyphs and buff blocking? I dont know if you have changed nothing here or actually made it easier on perma block builds.. But idk, the dev comment seems pretty confident that this will help so we shall see..

Rip stampede for no reason.. I mean really, i get reducing damage of all gap closers, but why the snare? You've cut it in half...

No fix for fear unbreakable CC..

And now the worst part of all..

Increased the length of time Ayleid well buffs last in Cyrodiil to 30 minutes from 10 minutes.
Itemization
Imperial NPCs in Cyrodiil now have a chance to drop keep repair kits and other consumables.

THIS IS ALL WE GET FOR CYRODIL?! Come on guys.. cyrodil is so busted.. Vivec on xbox is unplayable.. This is insane..

Overall i liked a lot of the changes and saw some cool stuff but some things never makes sense when the patch notes come out and hopefully get changed.. And you guys really need to start looking at cyrodil instead of completely ignoring the issues in a scandalous way. @ZOS_GinaBruno

    You hit the nail on the head on pretty much all your points for me. We know that the changes always or usually evolve a little before it hits live... guess time and testing will tell.

    Jorvuld's Guidance really doesn't look that great for just the shield duration boost, especially since you're giving up a good bit of max magicka to run it

    I can think of much better ways to utilize the 40% extra duration to ALL buffs... Honestly seems like it could be too much, I guess we'll find out

    i kind of like the idea of pairing that heavy set with a restro back bar and something like spinners on the front bar on a mag sorc. The restro heavy attacks on top of this 5th piece bonus should outdo the sustain gained from a set like Lich. Plus the extra health and the stamina/magicka recovery 3 piece don't hurt in pvp.

    How is that set op on a sorc? Your shield gets destroyed way before the 6 sec duration anyway? Whats a extra 3 sec of shield gonna do? Power surge will last longer but that's nothing special you can always keep that up 100% even without this set. Its a fair set

    As for the heavy armor set yaaaaaaa this will be interesting :|

    I think the better part of that 40% duration increase will be for other Major/Minor buffs like sorcery or ward. For example, running Empowered ward over hardened ward will give you the opportunity to have Minor Intellect up for 14 seconds instead of 10, improving sustain for a bit longer. Also, Minor Prophecy from casting a dark magic ability will be up for 28 seconds instead of 20. And Boundless Storm will increase Major Expedition for an additional 2 seconds or so, and Major Sorcery from Power Surge will increase from 33 seconds to 46 seconds.

    40% increase in all of these things on a sorc is powerful.

    I mean I can see sorcs running Jorvuld on the backbar but I think it's a waste. It just makes it easier to keep your shields and buffs up, shields that a reasonable player would be able to knock down long before 6 seconds passed.

    Ulfnor's could be fun, just gotta wait and see.

    Honestly if any sets stood out for me, it were sets like Doylemish or the light armor proc set coming out. Those I am concerned about for potential balancing, but again we'll wait and see.

    Regardless, I feel like a kid in a candy store I am way too excited to see what I can build with all of the new sets coming out.

      +40% to shields, major and minor buffs and it buffs allies too. So this is basically the new Black rose on steroids. Hopefully this set never makes it live. Talk about op, its basically god mode for sorcs

      Sorc healer pve will make good use of jorvuld. Longer duration on major berserk via atro will need to be tested however, since its coming indirectly form the sorc and not directly being applied. Minor intellect uptime on allies will help the sorcs sustain in less recasting. And major mending on resto heavy increase should allow them to get one more matriarch burst heal off.

      I love hearing everyones input here.. Ya mostly im pissed that again they have ignored cyrodil.. As far as the sets go, well if they make it live then its a toss up. Maybe there will be an OP build with one of them, maybe not.. im testing the heavy attack one right now and it doesnt seem too op, even in heavy with 75 points into heavy attack cp..

      Also im pissed theyre swapping bgs again.. back and forth, just pick one or give us both (and id rather they gave us both)..

      Also if anyone wants to test on the pts please let me know..

      Please note that it is a 40% increase of duration only and not of the size.

      Don't see how it is op as I'm dying not because my shields expires too soon but because they are getting burst down too fast.
      And this set looks more like a regen set which means that you have to drop Lich to acomodate Jorvuld’s - do you really want to drop lich? or are you planning to drop your spell damage set for it?.

      It is not OP at all in my opinion ... not for PVE neither for PVP.

      *Edit: it just increases you 6 seconds shield by 2 seconds - don't see how that can be considered OP?

      But players in Heavy Armor don't really struggle with sustain.

      I don't see why anyone would pick this one over 7th legion for example.

      I don't that removing the AOE cap from damage effects constitutes ignoring Cyrodiil.

      That being said, I think they'll need some time to evaluate whether or not removing the AOE caps has the effect they want in Cyrodiil, so I don't anticipate any substantial changes beyond the AOE cap removal for a while.

      Ice staff has increased blocking percentages and Templars Radiant Destruction [Oppression] will do proper dmg.

      The Outfit system looks okay
      (but *** the Dye&Style-For-Gold implementation...)

      Bad:

      All Charges/Gap Closers have been nerfed... Also Each Synergy can only be activated every 30s up from 20s... Goodbye orbs & shards...

      The bad: Werewolf NERF for no reason! With nothing to offset it, not even fixing the bugs or any QOL improvements. It's the QOL patch

      I forgot the worst part... A 3 second cooldown if a skill is interrupted... That can be detrimental in many situations.

      Waiting for someone to notice the first line in the Combat section...

      • Area of Effect abilities now deal full damage to all targets hit, instead of having a damage penalty after hitting 7 or more targets. Secondary effects from those Area of Effect abilities (snares, stuns, etc.) are still capped at 6 targets.
        Developer Comment:
        We want to encourage more tactical group play where players are encouraged to spread out instead of stacking in a tight ball. We’re still evaluating this aspect of AoE caps, and will make adjustments in the future as necessary.
      So destro ulti zergs got buffed.... :(

      Yeah one of those sets that does the fighting for you - all you need to do is gap close and root.

      You missed the context - your channeled skills will have CC immunity now - which literally will allow you to channel skills in the enemy's face and they can do nothing to interrupt it

      As it should be. That is the goal. Players will need to really learn how to fake cast now.

      On the contrary.. now smaller groups will be capable of blowing up a horde of vegetable heads more effectively thus creating an incentive to not stack up on single choke points and maybe incite more dynamic exchanges at keeps.
