I miss those days where once you were done lvling in the starter area and left your comfort zone. you had to constantly worry about getting ganked. it was so much fun! Running and doing pve in Tamriel is so boring.

The other thing I liked very much is the fact that when the opposing faction talked to you directly. you would see nothing but gibberish. There may have been a way to decipher what they sad but I never bothered to check.

Please Zos. Make ESO Grate Again!

THE CAVELRY HAS ARRIVED! Cav is a professional magblade, (in his not so professional opinion). He is immortal and is fighting for the Pact since 2E 572, amidst the turmoil of the Second Akaviri Invasion. He protects the provinces of Skyrim, Morrowind and Black Marsh.

You mean optional pvp servers? Sure as long as you don't drag pvers into it. The gibberish wouldn't make sense for eso as everyone seems to speak common

Well then you need to do a little research. You're either a troll from WoW who doesnt play the game or you missed the *invitation to cyrodil* at lv10.

I would love open world PvP, but I've come to accept it probably will never happen since they scrapped the final stage of the justice system. I'd like more things for PvE'rs to do in Cyrodiil and IC, so I can gank a bit like in games I played previously, but the majority of players probably wouldn't want that. So meh. It is what it is.

At least you're honest about why PvPers want open world PvP including as part of the Justice System.

I don't have a problem with non-consensual PvP servers, although they rarely stay viable for long in games that are PvE-centric. Unfortunately, the megaserver concept adopted by ZOS precludes having individual servers with separate rule-sets.

Why is it that whenever another MMO is mentioned here (especially WoW) people get super offended? Lol.

Sounds like a pretty cool concept to me.

How I wish they would set up a separate open world pvp server. Just so it can be completely dead and everyone feels great about it.

Never played on a PvP server in WoW even though i was a high ranking PvP player. You could do everything on a regular (PvE) server and never worry about Gankers, A-Holes and what not. I personally like it better this way.

I am certainly not against open world PvP areas designed JUST FOR THAT though.

Killing innocent undergeared, low level, inexperienced players? No ty. Not good for health of the game, especially in this community (no offense).

Alas poor justice system, I hardly knew thee.

While I would have loved to see it, I have no faith in Zos being able to do it in a way that wasn’t a train wreck.

Actually... That would be perfect... Why can't we add some sort of player-guards system, more open, riskier justice system.

Let's have criminals affect other players, but under constant risk of being jumped by the "good guys".

I kinda miss the old days of ultima online. A few tweaks and adjustments to what once was and we'd have a really good justice system.

Also. I'd add jail and the ability to escape jails, just for the heck of it. Some fun small collectables scattered around the jail areas too.

I tried a PvP server once. I kept getting constantly ganked by rogues that would hide and then sap me as a I ran by. Was not a fun experience.

It was advertised when stealing made its way in. But the pvers got their panties in a bunch. And I would imagine performance fears scared Zos as well. Some zones are rough as is, with a couple people going full skill spam in them it could get messy.

Nah. its not it. Wow constantly increases the gear cap.. so you have to farm gear over and over again. I stopped right before burning crusade Expansion dropped at lvl 60.

Also ESO's has no cool down on skills which is my favorite style of combat.

I imagine ZoS were probably just as worried about the numbers in Cyrodiil. If PvPers can gank PvEers all over the world then numbers in Cyrodiil would plummet. They've already restricted the number of campaigns to make the remaining ones more busy.

And the small matter of people who have paid for DLC (Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood) being a bit upset with the changes to their purchases...

Actually, it was dropped more because ZOS knew they couldn't structure "Criminals versus Enforcers" in a way that wouldn't get exploited.

People are proud of what they roll with on both sides, so it gets heated. The same would be true of anything, cars, politics, tv shows, pokemon, underwear brands...

I usually don't comment on WoW threads because to me, the game is nothing more than an interactive cartoon, but sometimes giving a look at the competition can spark new ideas and expansion or revision of traditional ones. Its not without it's merits.

I like open world pvp in other games, but it wouldn't work with ESO. Maybe if it was a thing from the start, but at this point its not going to happen.
