Deconstructing Obsticals

Just a wee idea I've had many times before that has defiantly been though of by other at some point but can we at least have the option to hide weapons/armor that are in our banks in the deconstruction menu. It's not a herculean task to just be careful when deconstructing but this would still just make my life, and many others, that much easier when deconstructing.

Any thoughts?

Right click -> Lock

The option has been in the game for 1.5 years, since DB patch if I'm not mistaken.

Just remember what you locked, so you don't have that moment of "Where the F is that thing, I swear ZOS if my bank ate that super special items I've saving, I'll...oh. I locked it. Silly me. Heh heh."

Had to check and yes it's been there since DB - times fly....

Before that patch I had to store all my research gear on a "bank" char for fear of not deconstructing it by mistake, so I remember pretty well

I know but a simple check box to hide everything would be much simpler, but as I said it ain't a herculean task without one.

The lock function works much better for me. I have gear in my bank that I'm saving for alts - I lock that so I don't decon it. But, I also have purple gear in my bank I'm transferring from an alt to my crafter for decon - that I do intend to decon straight from the bank. Without being able to decon straight from the bank, I'd have to use extra inventory slots on my crafter who's maxed and still doesn't have inventory to spare.

The Locking system does require you to lock each piece you want to save individually, but by doing so it preserves some of the flexibility of how the bank interacts with the crafting system. I'd be fine with a checkbox if it were in addition to the current locking system but not as a replacement.

That's fair enough. I don't want the lock system replaced. To put what I'm saying into context I have well over 100 set piece items, mostly duplicates, that I just haven't got around to dealing with yet, and it's now way past the point where I can be bothered to lock them all. So whenever I go to deconstruct junk I don't want to use or sell I get met with a wall of stuff I've yet sell because I'm farming for a sword. I would have locked them when I deposited them but even then I was dealing with up to 20+ items at the time that I just didn't care enough about. It has now just gotten to the point where I have far more set drops that not on my deconstruct screen, making it a bit of a pain to clear out my inventory. A simple check-to-hide box would completely negate this problem, and maybe quite a few others people have.

The lock function will hide the gear when you're in the decon tab.

It's effectively the exact same thing as a checkbox, just different shape.

Clearing your inventory at the end of the day takes just a few minutes for me:
1) Is it a set and in a decent trait: N decon or vendor to NPC, Y:
2) Do I need this set? Y: I keep and lock N:
3) Is it BoE: Y: Sell it on guild stores N: Decon it
What's left is deposited in the bank. Sometimes I can revert to the last question if I find out I don't need that item.

I never keep things unless I really need them. Most of the items in bank are there waiting for guild slots to open so I can sell them. I have absolutely no problem with knowing what I have locked.
