Question about Entropy for MagSorc

So the other day I found some older posts on here comparing Power Surge / Inner Light / Entropy and it seems like many agreed that at the time, Entropy sucks. My question is, has the skill gotten better? I was having trouble finding more recent posts and I am currently in the process of trying to raise all potentially valuable skills even if I won't be using them now. So what do you think? Is there a scenario where it is good to have?

My apologies, I am speaking in a PVE setting currently but if you have insight about PVP too then I am all ears too.

Power surge is far better than entropy, you will not need entropy as a Sorc.

Inner light is excellent and should be on your skill bar at all times, unless you are using spell crit potions.

I agree with WrathOfInnos. Surge is WAY better. I compared them directly one time in a public dungeon. You get good healing with Surge because you get healed every time you do a critical strike. The healing with Entrophy is ridiculously bad in comparison.

Hmm, I might try degeneration just to see for myself but honestly everyone else is pretty spot on. Power Surge has always been a monster and heals me lots.

I have run degeneration. It's good, but surge is still much better. Plus, it's "fire and forget", it just works and does what it should and when you need it.

That is the same reason I always got aggravated and tired of using daedric prey. Even though if using pets it will help make them powerful, the fact that you have to keep recasting it can ruin it for me

Power surge for PvE, especially vMA for the heals.
Entropy is cool for PvP. Personally prefer Degen unless it's dual barred
