Posted in another thread I decided to just put it out here so people can learn something useful from this.

A lot of people seem to have troubles/difficulties with certain content, stealing, or just straight up have bad luck while in Cyrodiil to do their skyshard/lorebook hunts or other activities, so this here should help you folks.

USE A SNEAKING SET

Sneaking sets:
Night Terror Set: 3 piece bonus: Reduce detection radius while Sneaking by 2 meters and sneaking cost by 25%.
Night Mother's Embrace Set: 5 piece bonus: Reduce detection radius while Sneaking by 2 meters and sneaking cost by 25%.
Nightsilence Set: 5 piece bonus: Ignore Movement Speed penalty while Sneaking. (Crafted)

Passives:
Medium Armor Passive ( 7pieces) : Improved Sneak- reduce cost of sneaking by 49% & reduce detection area by 35%
Khajit/Woodelf Racial passive: Stealthy (3/3): Reduce detection radius by 3 meters.
Dark Stalker (VAMPIRE PASSIVE): Decrease Movement Speed penalty while in Crouch by 50% and the time it takes to Crouch by 50% during the night.

Potions:
Escape aka "Oh Crap!" Potion: Anti-CC, Invisible, Healing - Made with all 3 of these: Blue Entoloma, Columbine, Namira's Rot.
Plain Invisibility Potion: Makes you Invisible! Made with any 2 of these: Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, Spider Egg.

Basically if you're a Khajiit/Wood Elf nightblade. With these you can LITERALLY stand on top of someone's head hidden. I kid you not.

I got every single skyshard on every single one of my characters in Cyrodiil just doing that, never had to fight someone once. It takes a bit longer, sure, but it takes way less time than dying and having to run back. Same with Thieves Guild quests.... Never had a problem.

Just remember:
A.) Train your patience
B.) Be Intelligent about your positioning
C.) Profit.

Also, If you know your good spots you can get multiple thousands of gold just stealing in under an hour EASY.

EDIT: Forgot to add Vampire sneaking passives. Thanks @Maura_Neysa for mentioning that. With the right setups you can actually OUTRUN a fully maxed horse WHILE SNEAKING if you combine these with the Nightsilence set as they actually DO STACK.

EDIT 2: Thanks to @jaye63 for mentioning sneaking (Invisibility) potions as a sort of "substitute" for race passives or "oh crap" button. Added.

I appreciate the thought behind this post. Only downside to this is that I am an Altmer magsorc, so all this medium gear and it's stats make me good at nothing but sneaking. I do use part of this for thieving and such to make that easier (night silence set and the radius medium passive). But the constant gear switch and the huge nerf to all my skills and survivability once I am (forced out off) stealth gets annoying, and I bet even more so in cyrodil.

If you're on PC try the Dressroom addon. Makes changing gear so much more convenient.
OP also forgot to mention the vampire passive allowing you to sneak at normal speed.

I mean that's pretty much what it is for. It doesn't make even a stamblade particularly strong. :)

Altmer mag Warden with Litany of Blood, Silencer, Master Thief, just become a Vampire. Vampire ignores movement speed penalty (with a Warden that means Major Expedition while sneaking) and reduce the time to go into sneak by 50%. That movement speed makes it so much easier to make it through the gaps in patrols and whatnot of the NPCS.

I keep a 5 pc set of Night's Silence for my characters to help them with Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood missions. It's the only way my stamdk is going to get through those annoying daily Thieves Guild missions. Between that set and an invisibility potion if my non-stealthy Nord DK can do it any character class and race can.

One note on the Skyshards in Cyrodill ... you can't sneak through alliance gates (when they are closed) so be prepared to capitalize when the faction gates are opened by one of the other factions (doesn't have to be your faction).

I have several Night Terror Jewelry sets, and just swap those out when doing nefarious activities. It is enough to take care of 99% of the things I need to do for the DB and TG. Plus it does not nerf my build all that much in case I need to go into combat.

The other nice things, it does not matter if the Jewelry is Green or Blue or Purple, the 3 piece bonus is the same.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

add in some crafted sneak potions to anything outside the OP race/class setup and you're golden. Replies need to read the P completely. Why are you worried about fighting when the OP said "never had to fight someone once"?

The Alliance War/Assault "Retreating Maneuver" (or the other enhancement of it) is also quite useful. Makes you blazing fast while sneaking if you have 5/5 night's silence, quite useful for those timed thief and assassin dailies. Just keep in mind it shortly pulls you out of stealth, so use wisely.

Every character should have it anyway, it also makes you blazing fast on a mount.

You can get it without having to do any PvP, just do the Cyro intro quest.
