Not all of Wayrest is treated as city

When I try to log out near the wayshrine, I have to wait ten seconds. I think all of area inside the city walls should be treated as safe zone and instant logout should be possible.

edit: To clarify, in case people don't know: it's possible to log out without 10 seconds countdown in cities and large settlements (some, not sure how it works there).

First of all, this is either NAB (Not A Bug) in the game software, or, if it is (in any way), then it is a well-known issue already.

So your OPinion belongs in the General Discussion section of the forum.

Regardless, tell it to Bethesda, they are the ones in charge of the network and system on which the game is hosted. In my experience, the time required to log-out (or to log-in) has nothing to do with the player character's location. There are no "safe zones" which you might find on an enterprise LAN, and you and I do not log-out from a synchronous LAN.

We log-out of a game network to which our computer has an asynchronus connection via the Internet. (If you don't know the difference between synchronous and asynchronous, then google those terms.) The Internet per se is probably the least secure telecommunications network on Planet Earth. Aside from that, nothing can be done "instantly" via an asynchronus connection, albeit, such an event could theoretically occur coincidentally -- but very very very rarely.

If you really want events to occur absolutely "instantly", then you'll have to wait a while as research and development continues into quantum computing. Then wait until it becomes cheap enough for the typical gamer to afford. By then we will be playing games with Virtual Reality gear and systems, which is more-or-less possible via an asynchronous network like the Internet -- if you can afford the requisite bandwidth. But, perhaps quantum technology won't require a physical network at all.

In conclusion: obviously, the time required to log-in or to log-out of TESO is determined by the respective performance of our computers and our LANs, of our ISPs, of the Internet, and of the Bethesda network and servers. If 10 seconds is too long for you, then consider drinking lower amounts of beverages that have caffeine and/or ginseng . (In my humble opinion, you really need a therapist if you're using methedrine .)

Also, you could learn the virtue of patience. Good things come to those able and willing to wait!

After all, if living flesh required no time to live, then we would have been dead instantly upon conception.

Every post I see from them makes absolutely no sense pertaining to the topic.
