Dang sounds like you should start doing that stuff if you want some storage. You should do crafting anyways. It's extremely beneficial. I can't imagine how people play this game and don't do any crafting. Blows my mind.

Also try PvP you might like it.

Ok so telvar is pvp and VERY EASY to get, check

Writs, well most end game pve'er (trial groups) do writs on the daily, check

What else there is there in eso? Seriously, there no socially integrated content? Think the devs want you to just get in there and get it done.

Maybe they should look at fixing the servers in pvp first but we all know thatll never happen

this is unfair, it should be ALSO for gold!! make it 20 000 for one crate, but pls give it also to non-crafter PVEers!!!

why not make them drop in vet trials too.

People are siding with ZoS on this one but it's the same reason you can't get the transmute station without spending 1200 writ vouchers. It's because they want to make it an unbelievably long grind (which will incentivize high sell/buy prices) so that people will go to buy them in the crown store. Their greed is becoming so obvious at this point that some people are trying to make their own explanations as to why and restore their faith in ZoS, like giving reasons to craft or PvP. People need to open their eyes a little.
And so, Akatosh revealed himself to a young Gaben, and granted him purpose.
"Grant them Steam sales," he commanded.
    And obey, he did.

this should be for all 3:

telvar - ok, why not - PVPers will be happy
master writs - ok, why not, master crafters will be happy
crowns - ok, why not, people who want to buy for real money will be happy

but no gold - pure PVEers will not be happy...

and not everyne will have 200K gold for a rune box, I suppose the prices will be way too high for many people to be able to afford it. so this is pretty unfair and should be changed!!!

give it us for gold ALSO ZOS!!!

PvPers will be happy if it cost ap to, not telvar.

Speak for yourself! It's much easier to accumulate Tel Var.

It should be able to buy it with gold, telvar and ap.
    then all will be happy

Or make them craftable too.. GIVE US CRAFTERS A WAY TO MAKE SOME MORE MONIES! Really, we're screwed on the transmutation system, this could have been nice.. Oh well, i can always hope for spell crafting... And if that comes, and we cannot sell the spells we craft.... Well then i wont be surprised in the least :p .

    This.

I don't mind about "huge storage" being expensive.

But I just don't figure out...WHY the current chests and cabinets could not generate (small) storage space already.

And I just don't figure out how so much people can side with ZoS on this topic.
Are there only whales and nolife-crafters left, in this game/forum?? (no offense, i see myself as a nolife too) At last ZoS seemed to manage nurturing a "valuable" community hahaha... :') Shame

I actually have to agree with this. Craft your own food, at the very least, to save yourself the trouble of buying it from someone else. And then you can run the Provisioning Daily and get Writ drops. I guess I can see not crafting your own potions if you don't want to stockpile Columbine and such, but Provisioning materials are easy to get.

This guy just wants everything to be handed to him. It's actually pathetic. There's literally 3 different ways to obtain the items, with the 4th that you actually want, gold, ALREADY THERE via guild traders.

Because it encourages people to explore different areas of the game which is healthy for the game.

If you don’t want to do certain aspects of the game that’s fine. But don’t expect to reap the rewards from that part of the game.

I think it was a great decision to add these as a reward for different game aspects.

And why would you even need the storage if you are pure PvEr?

My curent storage contains maxed bank space and one maxed pack mule. Around half of this is filled with BoP gear from dungeons and trials and second half is filled with crafting materials and any other things related to crafting. If I have done PvE only, without crafting, I would not even need the pack mule.

Yeap, but doing the obviously right thing is abhorrent to some game devs. Rather, they want to force people into activities they have chosen to avoid. Because thats clearly a good idea for a game. You have that in some games, although rarely in the successful ones.

I’m sorry, but if you choose to avoid parts of the game, you shouldn’t expect to get rewarded for that part of the game.

For example, I haven’t done vet AS. But I want a perfected staff. So gimme for gold pls ZOS!

But you got that backwards. ZOS has needlessly chosen to put a basic game feature into parts of the game that are of little appeal to players. Unsurprisingly, the reward for another poor decision is yet more resentment.

If this is the only thing you can say at this point, despite being shown over and over and over again why you are wrong, just don't bother bumping the topic anymore, it's just going to go around in circles.

There isn't much more for him/her to say. Yes, they should have it in the game for gold. They have created some artificial limits to meet some internal requirement, and that is the primary reason why it is not available for gold. There is no inherent reason for them to tie the concept of housing storage chests to Tel Var Stones and Master Writ Vouchers, but not gold or AP. It has the appearance of being arbitrary, but it actually meets their internal requirement.

The same applies to crafting them. There should be a recipe and it should be craftable and saleable. If course, that is where their internal requirements rear up again and turn it into an insane grind to do that. Still, it makes not a lot of sense to have a furniture item like this that cannot be crafted.

Instead, their internal requirements guided them to create a new collectible category with specific and rigidly defined collectibles that can fill those spots. I have to think that they must have some whopper sized internal requirements for this. I'd love to see the diary that maps the drama from concept to delivery on this one.
