Stun the boss by releasing all the obelisks using the dead hoarvor synergy or kill it directly on the totem itself. Otherwise its damage and probably damage resistance increases each time she enrages (explosion). It will one shot you at the end unless you stun her. Best way to do it is to have all but one obelisks freed at the end of the penultimate arena, then free up the last when you want to burst the boss in the final one. Otherwise use the synergy on the boss itself because it debuffs her resistance quite a lot.

    Priorities mate.

Top priority to kill the spiders that put webs on totems, then kill spider that slows you down and all the time kill hoavers to remove webs from totems and get stun on the boss.

Boss gains resistance with time and eventually will one shor you if you don’t clear all the totems every now and then

Last boss just requires time. It took me around 200 deaths on last boss when vMA just came out...

    For beginners I would reccomend:
When boss spams, take the sword sigil and start punching him hard and when crematorium guard (CG) spawns - use your ult on boss and CG to hit them both, but your priority is CG.

When you go to crystal phase (I assume you know that you need to kill the lightning clanfear on a glowing portal to get up) - just have harness all the time and focus crystals. Boss does the same thing every time and it is quite easy to dodge his skulls. If you fall down it is important to kill CG before you get up, otherwise he can damage you from the bottom.

When you get down from crystal phase, just get shield sigil and collect all three ghosts while killing summoners. When you collect 3 ghosts - wait for boss to teleport and use stun to be able to use ult to hit boss and CG. This is very easy if you manage to collect all ghosts, just no tunnel vission

Don’t know what build you run, but on my magplar I use only purification field (or whatever it is called) as heal, don’t think you even need jabs/bol or whatever

Yeah I spent 12 hours of my day in there today. Swapped my set up multiple times finally got to the last boss. But i just couldn't do it. I got up top and downed 1 crystal but then was knocked off and then touched once by the daedroth and died instantly. Idk man. You think I should try not being a vampire in there this time. I'm sure it will help. I'm done trying for a while but maybe next time I won't be a vampire. I was recieving crazy damage and was just spamming harness magicka. Really stumps me.

Some small tips for last boss, apart from obvious mechanics like picking up gold ghosts:
    - You can circle around the daedroths when they do their fire breathing attack. This way you can completely negate their damage.

    - When upstairs, always keep your eyes on the boss. Also when damaging the pinions. There is a steady pattern here: block/dodge skull from boss, sidestep AoE circle, block/dodge skull, sidestep AoE circle, rinse and repeat untill he spawns the moving shield. Stay behind that shield and damage the pinions as you go. DO NOT chase the moving shield when it goes faster, but rather move in the opposite direction to meet it. And remember: at all times keep eyes on the boss.

    - Pick up the speed + healing sigil before you go up. This will help with managing resources and health up there so you can focus more on dealing damage. Pick up the shielding + damage sigil when you get down to burn the boss and prevent any last minute deaths. This always works for me.

Hmmmmm thank you for the input. I appreciate it. I'm going to try maelstrom arena without Vampirism doing exactly that.

Also if your a Templar, from my own painful experience there, the run is much smoother if you go fully ranged. I've died multiple times by squandering my resources on puncturing sweep, that has both pathetic damage and heals when not going against a full pack of enemies - in vMA they come in two or threes, and against single target, puncturing sweep sucks big time due to the broken scaling on the skill, present for a few patches now. I've found that in practice doing a lightning staff heavy attack does more damage than that skill, and restores magicka, instead of consuming it. The best part is that it can also heal you, if you apply the skill Mages Guild: Degeneration on the target. Since Templar lacks built in Major Sorcery, that skill is useful since it provides that without use of expensive potions, has a small HoT and also, as I mentioned, a chance to heal you for more than the damage done with a heavy or light attack. The build I use is:

5 Law of Julianos: heavy chest, medium legs, light waist, feet and shoulders
5 Infallible Aether: light hands divines, jewels, lightning staff front bar / Maelstrom lightning staff back bar
    1 Iceheart: light divines
    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Law+of+Julianos+Set
    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Infallible+Mage+Set
    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Iceheart+Set

all armor enchants maximum magicka, jewel enchants spell damage, front bar staff flame, back bar berserker
blue health + magicka food, dropped magicka potions

Front bar: Radiant Glory | Purifying Light | Elemental Drain | Harness Magicka | Inner Light || Empowering Sweep
Back bar: Elemental Blockade | Blazing Spear | Ritual of Retribution | Vampire's Bane | Degeneration || Elemental Rage

Rotation is very simple: back bar right to left with LA in between, purifying light and 2 heavy attacks and then refresh it, refresh Elemental Drain every 2nd rotation (it lasts about 11-12s in total). Use Elemental Rage when it's full, Empowering Sweep is there just for Piercing Spear passive. Only use Radiant Glory instead of heavy attack when target is at about ~15% health since the scaling on that is pretty broken too; don't use it on trash, since it's better if you kill that with staff attack for the magicka recovery.

If you don't have IA or monster set you can use 3 willpower jewels in arcane trait and 2 crafted Torug's Pact lightning staves front/back bar, head and shoulders from the same set as a stop gap solution. With Torug's you can use Whichmother's Potent brew since it has a health bonus. Another alternative is the Martial Knowledge set you can use instead of IA.

When I build up the patience to want to run through it all again I'll try it that way. I dropped vampirism and it actually felt harder so I got that back right away. 5 Julianos I got. The rest illl have to do some trial runs to get. Thank you for the info much appreciated

With a heavy attack build you really don't need much recovery, since you ca stay at full magicka even at base recovery. I think my Templar has something around 760 and still stays at full magicka in almost every situation. I had up to 1.8K recovery with different combos of food, mundus and gear and still had trouble sustaining the puncturing sweep rotation. The catch with that is that is pretty sustainable, but only within a group and someone applies Elemental Drain for you and throws Shards or Orbs, and if the fight is static since you can stay on your Channeled Focus and have a lot of recovery from that. You can probably do slightly more damage that way, but it's totally impractical in vMA, where most fights are dynamic. I tried using Channeled Focus and I don't think I could benefit from it more than 1/3 of the time. Trying to run that arena on Templar the "traditional" way made me throw things trough the room. Runs became actually fun when I wasn't gasping for Magicka anymore trying to outheal incoming damage in melee range with the pathetic ruin of a skill that is Puncturing Sweep post Morrowind & HotR.

Yeah it's just... when I heavy attack I only restore 2000 magicka... so pretty much useless to heavy attack. How many cp points should I put into recovery heavy attacks? If any. I don't think it makes much difference from a 2000 recov attack
