Outfit Change Tokens? C'mon ZOS

Could you care to explain what exacly are those? I feel the urge to say that there is alot of people assuming that once you set up a outfit, you'll need to pay a Outfit Change Tokens to change a piece or two.

Plz enlight us.

Would like some light shed on this, as well. Does that mean there is only one slot we can change with gold, and any subsequent slots bought with crowns can only be changed with outfit change tokens?

if that's the case, they just put a "free" highly-requested update just to suck more money from us.

I really hope it isn't like GW2 where each armor slot costs a token or "charge" to change. That was really dumb and given the rate at which you earned Charges in GW2, it was a grind just to look good. I had to resort to buying them and the lack of a good transmog system made me lose interest and leave.

From what i gather, yep that's exactly what they are. A crown bought token to change an outfit slot. Crown price unknown. BUT you can also use gold instead (how high the gold price is is yet unknown). But you have to spend crowns to buy more outfit slot. No gold option for that as far as I heard.

This has been answered in another active post. Essentially, you get one free slot which you can change / play around with as much as you like. Tokens allow you to buy additional slots, e.g. for additional “costumes”.

How is this different than current costumes or crafting items using different motifs?

Care to provide a link to the green post that confirmed this?

I have been following several posts on this and I'm looking over the Dev tracker. All I have seen a short 3 bullet comment from Gina and "Watch ESO live at 6pm Eastern."

Edit: The free slot has been confirmed, but I don't believe the token are the currency for extra slots. They are for changing the appearance. Which is my understanding of all this confusion.

    Nope. From the announcement:

"You will have access to one unique outfit that you can customize using gold, but you will also be able to acquire Outfit Change Tokens and additional Outfit Slots from the Crown Store, allowing you to have a variety of outfits ready to go at a moment's notice."

Change tokens are separate from extra slots.

It seems exactly like the skill and attribute reset tokens they sell in the crown store. You can go to the shrine and pay gold to reset your skills, or buy the token and spend crowns instead of gold.

This doesn't bother me nearly as much as the 1 outfit slot per account, extra slots costing crowns.
