Current state of the "memory leak/FPS drop over time" issue!?

What is the current state of this "frame drop over time/memory leak" issue? Still a problem or already fixed?
I wanna play ESO again, but this issue is killing my fun :(

my PC is strong enough to play it in 4k with 60fps, but thanks to this issue after 30 minutes i got low fps (20-25) in areas where i reached 60fps easily...

It exists, but it could be as much a product of your add-ons as a memory leak. I removed some add-ons and have had better performance. Either way, my computer should perform better than it does in this game... it isnt wonderful. What MMO hasn't had these complaints though?

And that isnt an excuse for ZOS, they owe us better performance, less lag and more fixes...

Like SirAxen, Im also PC/NA and havent had this issue. Dont get me wrong, Ive had my share of other issues, such as periods of lag that come and go with no apparent reason, and more recently unexpected crashing that seems to have cleared up now, but no framerate drops or memory leaks that I have noticed.
Since you asked, my PC isnt exactly top of the line, but heres my basic specs:
    CPU: i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz
    Memory: 16384MB
    GPU: NVidia 1070GTX
    OS: Windows 10 64bt

Can't say I've experienced this issue either. And I'm running a fairly crappy PC.

    i5 6600k OC'd to 4.1GHz
    GeForce 760GTX x2 in SLI
    16 GB Ram
    Windows 10

1920x1080 resolution with settings at max except for view distance which is set to 50. (view distance destroys my framerate no matter what setting I have everywhere else.)

Still there. I tried on different PC's, addons, no addons, Windows 10, Windows 7, system + ESO on the same SSD, PVP, PVE (trials)... Also 99% of my guildmates and friends also has those problems. No idea, why there is a small amount of player without any kind of lags/fps-drops/performance issues.

My pc is pretty high end, I have everything set to max and my fps holds steady pretty much everywhere........ I have friends however who before running any Trials or Pvp content always disable certain addons because they are resource hungry and cause issues when a lot is going on on screen.

I'm on PC-EU and honestly I haven't seen any sign of memory leak from the game itself for many, many months, even before I got my present PC my previous one was having no issues like the leaks of the early days.

Give it a try you may be pleasantly suprised!

Yeah, that is the huge problem with this issue. :(

Maybe it is a Windows Problem? Virtual Memory/Pagefile!?

You get this fps drops after intensive long fights(or anything that is high performance demanding) and after a while your fps will not recover even if nothing actually is happening. This normally only happens if you stay longer in one instance e.g. trial/dungeon(mostly if you are stuck in there and wipe on boss fights) or even cyrodill after a big fight with many ppl. It normally can be fixed if you restart your client or switch to another instance(port). UI reload does only partial fix it and your pc specs do not really matter for that problem as far is i can tell.

You do not usually notice it if you are only interested in overland content or dungeons(unless you are really long stuck in there).

SLI On, goes from 100fps down to 30 over 30min

SLI Off, goes from 60fps down to 30 over 1-2 hours.

Add-ons have no effect on this, on or off it's the same thing.

So I'll just have to buy a $1200+ video card in 2018 and use attrition to make this lackluster engine hold it's fps longer at high resolution.

jeah happens to me sometimes aswell. In trials its the worst timing sometimes.

I guess atm the "worst" expierience my guild has at 4th vHoF Boss, which is so overloaded with effects ect. than after 3-4 wipes everyone is down to 15-20 Fps -.-

Turn your particle effects down, waaay down. The way the coding works, the game it relies on your CPU rather than your GPU and every extra flake of snow puts more strain on your system. Makes zero sense to me why they chose to do it that way.

No tips help, they just delay the inevitable.

You either have to play it on a single card at 1440p or less, or overkill it with hardware if you want 4k.

I run at 4k/ultimate and get 60+fps in most areas. Cities, however, tend to cause my frame rate to drop quite a bit. As soon as I leave the city though, back up to full speed. Right now I'm playing on my DAW machine and while not really the optimum system for gaming, it still rocks.

I've not noticed the issue as described, but that should not be taken as anything other than 'this player on that rig does not have that issue'.

One thing I have not seen is people posting their power supply stats. I wonder if this issue could be a low power one? These new graphics cards suck more power than ENIAC did.

This bug is well known from developpers (Perma FPS drop + blurry textures.), whatever your configuration is, the FPS just goes down and never raise up again after intense fighting (aka lost of visual effects) in Cyro.

I've been chatting with @ZOS_AlexTardif about it in 2016 and it's still not fixed in 2018, so they probably can't fix it. That's it. :(

If that makes anyone feel better, for me it's worse on a new PC (i7 8700k @4.9, gtx1080ti, 32GB RAM, SSD - it's an overkill as I'm playing at 1080p - don't judge, I know) than on my previous rig (i5 2500k @4.5, 2x gtx970 SLI, 16GB RAM, SSD). The game starts extremely smooth but after a while it starts to stutter like hell and the fps drops randomly in areas it usually doesn't. Also some weird lag starts to be noticeable despite perfect latency (probably related to the stutter - weaving becomes clunky, some skills just won't fire off, etc.). Reloadui fixes it for a while, but the issue returns sooner and sooner. Usually after a few such reloadui fixes the game refuses to close itself properly (just hangs infinitely when I click quit, so I have to force close it through task manager). Selecting lowest possible settings only postpones the issue. It appears after 3-4 hours if I set everything to low instead of 30-60 minutes when I have everything set to ultra.

The most annoying part though is that I can't pinpoint the exact steps to make it happen (except for trials, where it usually happens with time, whether you do something or not, but I had a quick nHOF run recently and had no slowdowns whatsoever, while I'm quite sure we didn't do anything different).
Sometimes it happens when I spend a lot of time in one location, sometimes it happens when I change locations frequently, sometimes just idling in a populated area makes it manifest (you can then go to some deserted location and both the drops, stutter and some additional weird lag persists). Sometimes I'm even able to force it to appear by changing my weapon a few times (eg. on my sorc changing frontbar between two lightning staves with either shock or fire enchant on them).

For now the only fix is to not play for any extended period of time.

Don't know is it addons or the game itself, but everytime I'm playing for a long time (like 4+ hours) I constantly have a several different type issues.
    1. When I farm blueprints by looting sacks/nightstands/chests/urns (looting every container in the Hollow City, then going to characters menu and log in again to let the game to refill containers in the zone) I always have the game freezing more and more at every container. I press E, the game freezes for some time and then a loot window is opening, I take stuff from container and the game freezes again, then loot window is closing up and then game runs fine. At the next container it freezes again. It goes worse with every looted container. The same happenes in delves and other places, it's not a Hollow City issue.
    2. Sometimes I notice significantly low fps. It happens if I'm Alt-Tabbing the game for 5-10 times. It goes fine and then -whoop- GPU usage drops from usual 90-99% to 25-45% and never goes up again till the game restart.
    3. Also (it happened yesterday) sometimes I have textures not loading. The game runs well, but some ground textures have a low-resolution. The game is installed on SSD though.
    4. Vvardenfell has very very bad optimization. There's a lot of fps drops/stattering in Balmora, for example, and in Vivec City.

    My laptop specs: CPU - i7-7700HQ, GPU - GeForce 1050Ti (4GB), RAM - 16GB DDR4 Dual-channel, SSD.

fps and lattency stay normal, 70-100fps/90-130ms.
