An option to turn off cp in overland

I believe this will be enough for the “hardmode” overland.

No massive changes need to made, only an option to turn off cp and probably try to move them (and below lv50 new players) in same instance

I know it's nowhere near actual hm in dungeons, but come on such difficulty in overland simply won't happen, it benefits so few and in comparison ZOS would need to do much more work

There is an option. It costs 3000g per use.

kinda too much if you also wish to do something else like dungeons don't you think? You will have to spend 3k over and over again

Yea, and reallocating sucks too. I feel like taking armor off is easier.

But I think some of the people want better rewards for overland hard mode.

I think it could be achieved by giving us a Cadwell's Platinum questline. All 3 factions Cadwell quests become unlocked again at a higher difficulty. Players could then be in standard overland till they get phased in for the quests. This would give us a version where there isn't a player divide in basic overland and players who want it get their hard mode with better rewards. They could make the Platinum repeatable as well, with achievements for no death/speedrun...

When zones were leveled there was a problem, that you got nothing for lower level quests, and now with the One Tamriel it solved, but this massive change led to another problem, now almost all solo PvE content is way too easy, except maybe Craglorn... in group zones. We definitely need some changes here and non-CP mode should work, I believe, but overland content needs far more changes to be interesting challenging. For example, quest bosses can be enhanced by giving them more tricky fighting behavior. For now, most of PvE content feels so damn casual, that I stopped to play ESO, and dived into ELEX I don't want to go through main and overland questline on my alt.

Eh. CP does not bring that much... and fighting "conan style" without your main armor piece can get you the same effect.

Or... you could go the "pay to loose" way and invest in a broom and bucket helmet for fun! And petition ZOS to add more to that for other weapon lines... duel-wielding feather dusters perhaps, fighting with a rolled up sheaf of parchments and a barrel lid or using a rubberband slingshot instead of your trusty bow and a star-tipped rainbow-sparkling fairy wand for the mages... and there also could be more PtL armor, like a set of prisoner rags, or a sleeping gown, a chainmail bikini or whatever ;)

I thought the reward for harder overland content was a challenge? The only argument I've seen for "hard mode" is that it's faceroll easy and boring. Having that challenge IS the reward.
You want better rewards, run dungeons or trials..
There's already a chance for better rewards anyway. I get purple jewelry regularly from dolomens, I've gotten purple gear from public dungeons...what better rewards are these people asking for? Gold gear?..I feel safe saying that won't happen.
Better rewards for harder content will make players feel forced to run that content or be left behind and destroy the "optional" arguments.
The reward for harder difficulty should just be the challenge.

Just make a new zone in the spirit of the old craglorn. Then we can make forum posts about wanting to solo that content cause its too hard.

This is what the proponents of "harder overland content" say - until presented with options where they can get challenging content right now, then it becomes about wanting rewards.

Ultimately, they won't be satisfied with anything. Playing against scripted mechanics will always be learnt and then become faceroll easy. Add more hp, more dmg, a different mechanic.. none of it will matter. Everyone will learn it and we will be right back here again less than a week after it's implemented.

My favourite comment recently was someone who said they took their armour off for a challenge, then complained because it was so hard to manage resources.

    Challenge-mode achieved = complaints.

When I want a challenge, I go and do vet dungeons. When I want a real challenge, I use group finder for it.

there are many overland quests that become stale because of the easy battles, for peeps wanting a difficult challenge. How do you solve it? a damage and hit point slider? how would this work>>?? Would like to know how zos is thinking about it. They said they are working/looking at it. What are some of the devs ideas?
