In WoW, “GM Island” referred to a secret place where Gamemasters would park their characters. Players aren’t ever supposed to make it there. I have spent a ton of time escaping and going out of map in basically every zone but have yet to come across anything like this. Btw, I’m not referring to any unused assets that are often found outside of zones - GM Island is legit a hidden, out of map location that looks unique.
Oh and there’s a small catch..... you’ll probably get permanently banned if you make it there and are seen by GMs. That’s how it apparently worked in WoW lol.
I've never seen or heard of anyone finding such a place, but who knows. Our zones are also quite unlike WoW's, of course. They're all disconnected, even if you go outside the map. I like to think our GMs are a more nomadic sort, hiding invisibly among us. Following us around, seeing how our day goes. Waiting at the last boss of our dungeons and privately cheering us on. Checking our inventories to see if we have any contraband, like a police state. Spying on us in our homes. Recording our ERP sessions. You know, the usual!
Gm island like from wow? I dont think so.. I can 100% say not in cyrodil 1st because no zos team members dare to enter the lag dump that is cyrodil, in my humble opinion and 2nd i fell out of the map one day and explored the whole of cyrodil... Unless its in bravil but others have gotten inside bravil, i couldnt. But the middle of the imperal bay, or whatever, was really cool.

@Shadow-Fighter so the area was possibly called “Clean Test”?
Do you still have the screenshot?

Clean Test is a small, flat, untextured, blank zone, completely devoid of anything. It used to load into the game quickly and test things. This was confirmed by Eric Wrobel in an ESO Live (one of the episodes showcasing Morrowind, I believe?) It is hardly the "GM Island" you're looking for.
As far as I know, there is no such thing as a GM Area in ESO, apart from a few very old inaccessible development test maps. The game being separated into unique zones and maps barred off by loading screens kind of kills any possibility of it, I think. The best you'll probably find is small, insignificant easter eggs. Here are some interesting maps:Balfiera Island (Its own zone)

The residents of Janitor's Island enjoyed a very brief export business, but since have been embargoed.forwardbias83 wrote: »And then I saw this giant statue of a toilet and next to it a plunger. It was a pretty simple questionthere’s like nothing interesting on this forum rn. Every other thread is a complaint to ZOS or nerf thread. Was hoping this would be more interesting or possibly help me find the place.
I have tried swimming to many island surrounded by slaughterfish. In the northern part of Morrowind some islands appear close. So far I haven't been able to reach them. I tried a big supply of healing potions while having mutagen up and I was almost there. But the further away the more the slaughterfish do damage it seems.
Also on other maps I have tried.
What I really liked about SWTOR was the VIP area with the CE-vendor. You could buy a very expensive ring to get there, or if you had CE edition you already had the ring. Nothin was special about the VIP area but it was kinda cool I could go there while others could not and wondered what was there in the beginning of the game.
would be cool if there was a real house of earthly delight only people with a CE could enter.
