Achievements Compromise + Update

Should we try to find a compromise on achievements?

I am personally in the camp that prefer to have some kind of account wide achievement feature.

I suggest the following:

Character should only have access to titles from achievements that that character has completed.
You should be able to view achievements per character.
You should be able to view account wide, where everything your characters have completed is shown. Call this Player Achievement's View.
Let us use our achievement score for something.

To be honest none of this really even needs a compromise - I am a 'character separatist' and even I don't have an issue with having some sort of summary view available to see the overall achieves done on the entire account.

Also the idea of being able to buy some unique cosmetic stuff with the achieve points is interesting...

For me not a bad idea but I think this is the sort of thing zos was like "leave it to the addon creators"

Probably, and I know it may sound weird, but an addon won't do it for me -.-

Nothing wrong with being able to view achievements account wide. I think there should already be addons doing this? Not sure. Either way, addon people probably would manage a much less buggy interface than ZOS normally does

same here my standing on addons is the following for games...

If it needs addons to make the game enjoyable for you or fix place in missing features it means the devs made a poor and lazy job with the game and the game itself is not worth it in the long term....

I don't have a problem with an account summary screen showing everything your characters have done. Beyond that I wouldn't compromise over account-wide versus character-specific achievements as the game already represents a compromise in that respect and moving it any further one way or the other would be detrimental to one type of player or the other.
