I actually want a slower mount on some toons, so I wouldn't want the speed to apply to all across the board.

    250 gold X 180 lessons X 13 alts = 585K gold refund to me.

    But still no.

This is the official "I got mine, now go get your own" answer.

    Edit for spelling.

Two things I despise in this game are horse training and crafting research - both are nothing more than very long time gates, and both prevent any amount of increased effort to reward the player with improved timeliness.

I just do not agree with gating things based on elapsed time, players willing to put in the effort should be able to accomplish things in faster times (and no, logging on every day to click a stable NPC is not effort, not hard, and should not be considered an accomplishment or achievement).

How about you make a poll asking whether ESO should make everything that takes months account wide instead?

CP is already account wide, now let's get horses and research and skyshards and lore books and etc.

Yes. This is a insanely stupid feature which is a massive turn off to potential new players.

In no other MMO I've played (which is most of them) do you potentially lose half a year of time gated stuff like horse feeding and trait research if you choose to delete a character. You just have to level it and its crafting, which might take at most a week or two.

ESO requires you to make and commit to characters for the long haul. Insane.

Want to change a character for some reason? If you can't bear the AGONY of deleting all that time gated work and starting from scratch, your only option is to go play something else. I'm sure many have.

This 60x3 solution is much bettter then the old one. Some changes would be good but not soo much, for example like with trait research reduce duration with 1 day (Hlalu merchant for 'Vocher' currency) here would be cool something like that +1 lesson /20 hour.

Otherwise If ZOS introduce this I won't use it, I can accept the 180 day delay I don't need to speed up. With a new character the horse riding 180 points sooner will finished than that character will explore all tamriel :) Other older characters' exploration more important :)

I have to say I like the way crafting and research time is set up. That feels rewarding to me a bit for I have a toon dedicated to just that. I went looking for all the motifs I needed and learned them it took time yes, but you can then craft people things for gold in return.however i understand where you are coming from.. I did accidentally delete the wrong toon and lost all my provisioning recipes learned. But that is for another thread.

All the things should be account wide, it's the future. The player achieved it not the character. I don't see it happening on this specific case however, riding lessons seems to be profitable.

All that time gated stuff that you love doesn't need to be character based. It could be account based.

It really makes no sense not to. Punishing players who want to have alt’s isn’t a smart business choice. As that’s more money you can make on players who spend more money on characters personalization and ensure smoother gameplay performance

I've stated in other, similar threads that I think that each mount's speed/stam/bag should be account bound, however each different mount should have to be trained independently.

Example - Brown Sorrel Horse (BSH) is at 60/60/60 on character 1, all other characters should be able to access BSH and have it be fully trained. However, if you elect to purchase a Rainbow Brite Guar (RBG), you will now have to train it up for 180 days to get the same effect. Theoretically since the mounts are account bound, you're just accessing the same mount at your account stable (different rider - same mount), but why should a completely different mount be fully trained just because a certain rider sits on top?

    That's my opinion anyway.

I'd be happy if when you delete a character you still got to keep that 6 months of horse training. biggest reason I don't delete is the mount training.

Definitely. I think they make quite a bit of money on riding lessons though and thus won't change it. It's intended to be very annoying. I just leveled a stamblade for PVP and I'm very tempted to pay for the lessons as otherwise it takes freakin 4 months to max out the relevant stats. And omg are mounts slow at 0%.

They do need an option to grind it faster. Like some sort of daily. Otherwise mount speed isn't really a big deal.

No, but the 20h cooldown on mount training should be removed.

I voted yea though, anything to get rid og this stupid "mechanic" that belongs in a F2P mobile game.

New idea: riding your mount increases stamina and speed, but you need to pay for the "lessons" every day. Still a gold sink, but should be able to train a new mount in, say, 30 days instead of 180.

You guys are failing to realize that zos sells mount training books in the CS. I doubt we will ever see a change.
