✭Watched the first minute plus of the second video. Nothing much to see. 1v1 and 1v2 was about it and mostly ganking, not saying ganking is wrong.
Once out of the 500 ult then the build looses much. No sustain. Burn ult then have to find something to regen it back. Overload builds became much weaker when they nerfed it via reducing max ult to 500.
It is really irrelevant what one can do with overload with ult available. What is relevant is what the build can do after the ult runs out. I did not see that in the video so the build is questionable. I prefer a build that works with or without ultimate being available.
I only played this build for 2 days, hence limited clips. I'll bring a fancy compilation in the futureYt Channell: Blobsky

The solution is actually quite simple, follow the TOS if you actually want to post something on the forums cause honestly most players don't even care about seeing hate whispers. And posting in the right section because the thread actually did get moved, what a surprise.

I like that overload is getting some play again. It was a blast back in the day when it could be double reflected on a sword and board build. I don't even mind if it gets nerfed. Its a clunky ultimate with some situation utility and needs a complete rework one of these days.

Just look at Kodi´s latest stamsorc video. It´s been meta since One Tamrieal on stamsorc Werewolf. And people have been using overload builds since dawn of time....so what........

No, I'm pretty sure he's EU. I've been killed by strong overload attacks before (13k+), but usually it's from the middle of an Xv1. I'm being hard on him mostly because I find the title disagreeable, and the tone in his videos is pretty condescending.

✭This is going to be fixed(nerfed) the same way as the other blob's exposed gank builds were.
They either will nerf empowered like they did it with alchemist - you will get empowered buff only if in combat.
Or they will fix the elegant set to affect only the weapons light and heavy attacks (like stygian was nerfed to buff up only the damage of magica spells).
Don't expect a well thought balance on this one.

Keep a few things in mind:
It's a GANK build. You typically hit people with their shields down.
The Spell Erosion star has diminishing returns. The less you have to focus on it and the more yoz can equally spread between all damage stars, the higher your total damage becomes. Also, Spinner's is the "purest" damage set available, with all boni increasing damage. All others typically have crit chance or other somewhere, except Necropotence.
Why would a magblade use Wiuard's? You already have two sources of Maim!
Blob hasn't invented Overload gank builds. But what he did was making use of Crystal BLAST, the red-headed step child that "no one is ever gonna use because of the cast time!". And that is truly hilarious!

Not really. His use of Crystal blast is identical to how I've always used Crystal frags. And even that is not some secret knowledge I came up with, but you certainly never really see that many sorcs use it that way.... or successful overload sorcs in general. That being something "creative" is nothing more then a veil for people whom may not be aware of such, given limited perspective.
Crystal Blast pretty much only makes logical sense for an overload build, because successful overload bursts on average or competent players, is only successful because the deadly firepower of overload can be guaranteed to connect that is followed by a knockdown from a frag. The hardcast frag's travel time and the nature of how overload can be weaved into it, is what gives it the true burst.
TL;DR: Hardcast frag and overload are yin and yang. They both serve each other flawlessly. The underlying mechanic and reasoning for Blobs using Crystal Blast is very old news.

Hardcast normal frags connect the same time as overload as well. This is due to overload being able to be weaved into the channel without needing to do any animation canceling. The game does it for you.4 -

Only with blast does the overload hit first. This is entirely explained in the video, had you actualy watched it. This ensures Overload is empowered rather than frag. But again, if you are here for anything other than drama, the video is linked to explain that.
