Crown sale, decided to buy the 8 important mundai, all work except thief. Please fix or refund 4k crowns. Thank you.

Are you sure you don't already have it applied, which is why you can't click on it?

If not that, maybe try reloading UI?

I have seen this happen a number of times before, and have yet to see a case where one of the above didn't fix it.

Relogging seems to have worked (works this morning). Does this come back or a one time effect when placing?

Not really sure, I think it's just maybe a sporadic thing, like how sometimes a random attuned crafting station won't work till reloading UI.

yep my attuned stations do this often. about once a week
I get a message telling me they don'y work.
they reload and voila! they work again. must be a loading bug.
