Enchantments (still) buffed by CP type of source

This has been going for some time already, but there still was not clear answer if this is bug or not. A lot of people arent even aware of it even addons like constellation that calculate ideal CP arent aware of it (unless I do something wrong)
Damage of enchantments is boosted by the CP that boosts damage that procced them. If I spam light attacks and they proc enchantment, it will be buffed by Master at Arms CP (which also makes sense), but if I cast endless hail and let it proc the enchantment, it will be buffed by Thaumaturge.
This is very confusing and IMO unnecessary, enchantments should simply be direct damage.

What do you mean testing. You can do it right now yourself if (i bet like most build do) have more points in thaumaturge than in master at arms.
I currently have 17% damage bonus from Thaumaturge and 16% from Master at Arms. I am naked except Infused Bow with disease enchant. I have no skills except endless hail.
My light attacks procs disease enchant for 2996 damage.
My endless hail procs disease enchant for 3019 damage.
This has been going on at least since HotR patch.
Top is light attack scenario and bottom half is endless hail scenario (as can be obviously seen)

I have not been paying attention to it much and figured it was changed already. But now I have been doing some CP optimization and found out I lost 1k DPS after changing CP based on advice from Constellation so I quickly (and rightly) assumed it is this issue.Edited by SodanTok on December 24, 2017 11:06PM1
