The stam templar is currently OP damage wise. It has been before and got a nerf. It will get a nerf again. Overall, stam templar is not a well designed class. It does not have a wide variety of useful skills on both the offensive and defensive front. When it is no longer OP in damage it will be garbage because, like stam NB, it is a poorly designed class. Mag NB's are a well designed class. Even when they are not putting out great max damage they still have a good mix of useful abilities. They are a well designed class and I think you would ultimately be happier with that.

I don't know who told you sorcs don't work well though, both mag and stam sorcs are very well designed and effective with mag sorcs also doing top notch damage. Warden's lack top end PVE dps but are killing it in PVP and have a lot of balance to what they do as well as huge group support. Stam blades and stamplars are actually my two lowest rated builds in terms of overall design. Unless you are straight up endgame raiding (in which case you need a full stable of toons so you can switch to the flavor of the month) I would avoid them like the plague.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

haven't you opened this topic once more?

so i have no clue about pvp but from a solo pve perspective

magicka nightblade seems very flexible with a lot of sustain but mediocre aoe capabilities - i recommend using a lightning staff...sometimes i go the withered hand + baharah's curse route for arena which gives you infinte sustain...sets like war maiden or innate axiom might work well as well... sometimes im going the crit route and use mother sorrow - this way a get a 70% crit rate which is pretty high for a magicka user

Stamplar does quite a lot damage and has a nice aoe ability - the issue with stamplar is ressources and mobility...what i am using on my stamplar is a) being a redguard and b) im using dreugh king slayer which not only gives me the 20% buff that templar lacks but also a speed bonus after every kill which makes for very fast gameplay...pairs well with ravager (procs a lot from the jabs) or spriggans for penetration

thats my 2 thoughts as a casual solo pve'er
