Increase of Homogenous Builds

Over the past week, or so, I feel like I've continuously run into the 2h/bow build that have clumped themselves in 6 man groups. Nightblades, Wardens, Sorcs, DKs....all using the same 2h/bow animation cancelling bursts.

Is there a video going around promoting this?

Yesterday, and this morning, in Cyriodiil and Imperial city I saw no less than 6 different 6ish player squads all with different people in them.

I'll get the l2p and that's ok, but its exasperating... :-)

"The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are a popular cultural meme, a metaphor representing the choice between:

Knowledge, freedom, uncertainty and the brutal truths of reality (red pill)
Security, happiness, beauty, and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill)"

Insight to Agree to Awesome Ratio = 1:6.04:2.76 as of 1/25/2019

Compared to people that I've ignored = I am 18% more insightful, 20% less agreeable, and 88% more awesome.

It's cuz after the changes, you're practically forced 2h for snare removal. And then injection / major expedition makes bow a good couple

dual wield provides too little as an offensive stam weapon.

    - No built in gap closer
    - No CC
    - No reliable spammable that can hit hard
    - No Snare removable
    - No execute (unless you count the passive but still)

It's the reason why you only see people with dual wield if they are a stamblade or a magicka build.

Two handed and bow are just the accepted meta for stamina builds. Maybe 2h and SnB for StamDK's and Stam Wardens.

Funnily enough, I've been experimenting on a Stam-warden for the past month almost - having basically run magicka characters since coming back to ESO earlier this year - and "organically" arrived at the bow/2h meta after some good amount of (PVE) trial and error.

In fact, it started with my noticing that 2h has an execute skill, which I otherwise both lacked and sorely missed. From then on, it was a lot of changing up the weapon loadout and build and looking at the FTC report after a boss fight to see which skill did what. And time after time after time the bow DoTs (one of which has an execute) and the 2h execute spammable ended up in the top slots, while DW skills, no matter what combination I tried, were...average at best. Pairing bow and 2h then became something of a no-brainer for me.

I, of course, shall be the first to say that I still have a long way to go before my characters are at what I consider to be "optimal" DPS (for one, I sorely need to grind or craft new gear for just about all of them). But there is an example of someone not reading a guide or listening to some guild-mate's advice and still arriving at the bow/2h "meta". Imagine what would have happened if a month ago I'd just read a guide.

Dude, same. Sometimes, the ability changes/adjustments sort of "force" your hand, and you end up in Metaville. When I tried my first stam build by switching weapons and rerolling stats on one of my CP characters, the only thing that made me feel less like a damp tissue flapping around at people was 2h/bow. Ironically enough, I even went there trying to escape the equally meta lightning sorc pet builds that everyone and their mother has started to use.

Unfortunately at this point, you either play crazy or play well, and all the people playing well have the same bag of tricks.
