People selling items by COD

I dont know if I am in the wrong here but I get way too many sellers saying they will COD me items and then charging me the COD fee without telling me

I do not mind paying for the fee if they mention it beforehand but too many times they will say they will sell me 2 temps for 14k and they immediately cod and I see it for 15k and it is like, at least tell me?

What do you guys think about this?

Yeah it should be something that's agreed upon. I always make it clear who is paying fee beforehand.

I always try to split COD but that has to be agreed upon beforehand

If I ask someone to COD me something and I know this applies cod fees, I'd expect the amount to be slightly higher.

After all, I am fully aware that sending mail involves a cod fee so I should be ready to accept the increased price on what was agreed for the item.

If they barely ever send anything C.O.D., or are new to the game, they might not realize there are fees for the buyer.

The problem with adding the fees on to a cod is that the fees increase as the amount rises. Because postage is a percentage of the payment, not a consideration of the item.

If you type in a cod of 14k, it is charging you 710 postage. So then you bump the cod to 14,710 so the buyer covers the postage. But doing that causes postage to increase to 745. Bump the cod again to 14,745, and postage increases again.

Of course, in my opinion only whiny OCD tedious pains in the arse really give a carp about a few hundred coins. For some reason those people are scrounging those few coins because they have issues making gold, and are poor.

i agree.

ppl just make such a big deal over a few k gold over fees like Id much rather just trade in person or if the fee is small enough, just cover it myself

just let me know before sending the item that Im gonna be dealing with the fees...

When I sell I always give people a choice.. they can meet me at the nearest wayshrine I'm standing at or I will COD them with fee.

When I am buying things I always assume I am paying the COD fee. Why should the seller be lumped with that when the majority of the time they are selling under cost to move their stock faster?

Recently did my first COD, I had cut the player a deal on the price so I had little wiggle room. I did split the cost and explained the added was due to the cod charge and that I split the cost. Now I know to say, plus COD charges.

I personally expect that when I buy COD that I will have the charge added. I do think that players should expect this, especially if the haggle over the price.

Anyone know what % is used for the COD charge?

If i send someone a Item for a agreed upon Price, i usually pay the C O D Fee out of my own pocket. This isnt much hassle

if the COD fee is 50 or less I would say ok, but not for 1000 gold. Depends on item and amount.

i offer to deliver. thats my fee free option. otherwise buyer pays shipping and i make that clear up front and even put the shipping charge into the notes in the mail.

I just eat the Cod fee for the convience, normally it is too small to matter. That is on both sides. normally people say cod fee okay? and I say yes
