Champion Points and New Character/Builds

Im curious as to how everyone handles Champion Points with characters/builds that are NOT your main character.
My main is the only one out of 8 that have reached CP level (Level 176 as of this thread) and all others are level 15 MAX. Not sure if I should start pumping in CP points on them now, or wait until they get to level 50 and start.
How do most of you handle this with your non-main characters/builds? Do you wait until CP level just to be sure you have what you want in terms of build, or, do you already KNOW exactly how to build that particular character so you start taking CP points right away?

✭✭Its only 3k to re-spec so just spend em all.
I'm a planner by nature though so I always know what my end build is going to be and I build for that to begin with.1 -

✭Definitely use CP if you have them.
New characters lack the skills and passives of endgame characters so I believe that CP is more impactful on low level characters; especially CP passives.
While it will always depend on your build, for example, my new characters are generally built for faster crafting levelling and extra regeneration. My green CP trees have inspiration boost (30), windrunning (120) and treasure hunter (75) - in that order of importance.#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.1
