I haven't reached 100 people cap yet after two years, but I totally agree. After seeing this thread, I actually counted - I have 68 people on ignore list so far :) Most of them are not even from personal discussions - I simply saw how they treat people in zone and guilds, and decided I never want to deal with such players myself or have even slight chance of helping them somehow.

Makes me think, we need better visual representation of ignored players. For now it's simple "is ignored" text added after character name and username. This text needs to be red or something...

This addon at least can help a bit if your ignore list is full.

Oh that's helpful, thanks! Coz sometimes you just wanna mute some people for any reason and sometimes you really want to put them forever to ignore list with no ever unban. Doesnt help with limited ignore list, but helps in other way a bit.

I maxed out my ignore list back around launch. Mostly from reporting spammers in chat. Back then, you needed to clog your ignore list, or you couldn't participate in Zone. I cleaned it out during the 2014 summer, and haven't added much to it since.

Recently purged my ignore list. Less than a dozen people. Don't even remember why they were on there.

Trust me, they won't be bothering you. Just trim it back.

I agree, and I think that friends list should be expanded, too.
As for the reasons to "ignore" people... Well, like the others have said, there are people who overreact over pvp, spammers etc. Also, there are inappropriate names. Yes, if theyre in English (or any other language that is officially supported) they will be forced to rename those chars. But my native language is not officially supported, and I dont wanna see names like "Wh*re hunter" in zone chat. Lol. And I dont wanna see people who make sexist and racist remarks, too.

Do those that overreact over PVP really come back that often? I kinda doubt it, unless you're farming that person, then they have every right to be upset.

Not that often, but I've been playing since 2015, sooo yeah.
If you play on an specific low pop campaign I guess you can run into the same people a lot, now if you are an ganker with an unique look I guess you hear it :)

Ignore is overused, there are plenty of other ways to deal with annoyances.

Once zone chat & 'say's are turned off & auto decline duels is turned on, my ignore list is limited to those who queue in fake roles (despite the fact thanks to 5 amazing guilds i rarely pug) and gold beggars (after I have refused to group and had them try to find me in a zone if they want any coin - which they never get).

If you need more than 100 slots, you must have a very low tolerance! I've been playing 3 years and have no one on ignore.

Yes, i value my time over anything else, so if i see someone being total "not good" in chat, dungeon, other place - i insta ban him, same irl - i don't speak with people i don't like. Some people prefer to "endure", it's also ok.

No ignore button in life. I just plain ignore. Like by not responding.

Not enough pvpers here seems. I remember when i didnt ignored to see what happen - dude was spamming me non-stop insults for entire 30 minutes just because I wiped his group. I doubt you would simply 'not respond' on such level of human degradation.

Salty whispers are a great source of entertainment. Then when they get triggered because you didn't respond and say even more vulgar things it gets even funnier. I don't see how people let people like that get to them, their obviously pathetic at a hilarious level.

I think the cap is 150 but I could be mistaken. And I want the call-outs in zone chat just not the horse *** - most of the people on ignore are from my own faction. In this day and age, why is there even a limit to friend's list and ignore list @ZOS_GinaBruno ?

I have put OP on ignore. I am offended by people who get offended.

I am even more offended if they are offended that I am offended that they offended me in the first place.

I always think that a full ignore list says more about the person holding the list than it does about the people on it.

Reported for being even more offended if they are offended that you’re offended that they offended you in the first place.
