Any group like this is boring to fight whether they are EP or not. They will destroy weak players, have 10 minute fights with strong players and make average players just walk away. I'm not sure how that style of fighting is compelling for anyone but whatever works for them I guess.

Every alliance is filled with tanks. Let's be real, PvP is pretty boring.

I agree. Pretty sure all EP played World of Tanks before switching to ESO so it's just in their nature.

So if they are all in heavy, never dropping block, and boring to fight, why exactly are your fighting them? Doesn't sound like they pose much of a threat, so surely you could safely ignore them and proceed on to your own objective?

By getting you to waste your time fighting them, they win even if you kill them in the end. Deprive them of their victory by ignoring them like the turtles they emulate and move on to your own fights.

Note: I'm assuming hyperbole in the statement that ALL EP are tanks, because I'm EP and am not a tank on either of my characters. I play EP often and see plenty of EP that also aren't tanks. So I can only assume that either you have really bad luck in which EP you are fighting or you aren't ignoring the boring tanks and going on to your own fights where your time would be much better spent.

Pretty much how I feel. You can't wear light or medium armor and move aimlessly. You have to be extremely deliberate and always aware. In heavy you can just do whatever you want because there's such a cushion.

    It's dumb.

I'd like to make a suggestion. When you move around in heavy armor with that cushion? Use that cushion to learn. Learn to read the battle so you know where to go and where not to be. Use that cushion to learn what skills are effective and which skills aren't. Use that cushion until moving properly in battle becomes second nature as you learn to instinctively read and move with the ebb and flow of battle.

Then go back to light or medium and see what a difference that learning experience makes.

(I ran Plague Doctor on my healer for a while when I was learning to PVP. The extra tankiness let me survive to learn what worked and what didn't. Soon enough, I was running in my 5 light armor gear just as well on the battlefield as I had in heavy plague doctor because I'd learned to move with the ebb and flow of the battle like it was second nature.)

I appreciate the advice, but I'm actually a seasoned PVPer. I'm just speaking generally. If I run 5/6/7 heavy as opposed to 5/6/7 medium, the difference is extreme. There is no reason to run medium over heavy, really. I can hit just as hard in heavy as I can in medium, and I can survive much more easily in heavy. The actual sustain in heavy is better, because less damage means less resources spent on healing/shielding/etc. And if you know your combos, you'll have zero problem killing in heavy. In medium (not counting brass/impreg) you can get burst down extremely quickly, and recovering is unlikely.

Signed, EP magsorc in 5 light armor

Seriously though, it's not the alliance, it's the meta. Sucks, doesn't it. I agree.

Can we agree that tanks in PvP are a bit too strong at the moment?
How could you fix that without breaking them for PvE and turning Cyro into oneshot territory?
    Hm...

Yesterday I was amazed how much DK were around. I had kill DKs quest, and finished it in minutes while fought against DC near Bleak.

But I don't believe this is an issue. Those tanks, especially the noob ones are easy kills if you know what you are doing. As I said, kill DK quest took me a few minutes.
