Steam overlay

hello,
I recently bought eso on steam and I found out that whenever I teleport via a wayshire and teleport to a new location, usually I try to sprint first thing.
So I push shift to sprint and always Steam UI pops up like when I hit shift+tab. Its really not a big deal but it happens all the time.

Even when I might open my skill tree or inventory or any other ingame window, after I close it I will try to sprint again and same thing happens.
I would love to see this bug go away as it can be frustrating when in a hurry.

thank you

Hit shift+tab on purpose, then hit esc.

    problem solved.

Or at least it is for me
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

You can remove the overlay button keybind in the steam settings.

yes i am aware of that, but i have used steam for years and i use it daily not just for elder scrolls online. So disabling it permanently isnt an option for me, it is a really useful feature.
I believe chaning the key bindings would work, but as i said before i use steam for so long now that using shift+tab is so accustomed to my finger movements it would make it more difficult for me.

This is a personal preference problem.
Steam will always look for that key press and ESO is always looking for that same key press for another reason.

You need to rebind one of those to a different key, or disable one entirely. That is and always was the only solution, EVER.

That's why running two programs that are constantly tracking input is problematic. Usually, you only have to worry about one program receiving input, like typing in notepad while the forums are open on your browser does not type the same thing in the browser due to notepad being the focused application. Steam and ESO are sharing focus.
