About future transmog system

I expect at least:
1.You can transmog any gear into any motif you have learned with the style material
2.The so-called imperial/morag tong transmog having some uses.
3.Preview the whole design on my characters.

I'm okay with:
1.Transmog crystal appear in crown store...afterall it's cosmetic stuff.

I will be pissed if:
1.Transmog crystal ONLY appear in crown store.
2.No implement of old imperial/morag tong system at all.
3.Transmog crystal cap is not enough for a full gear transmog (for non-subbers, I doubt ZOS dare to do that with subbers...)

I will be thrilled if:
1.Adding jewelry's actually look (if you are bored enough you will see you can actually transmog the non-set jewel with imperial/morag tong transmog...which does nothing atm)
2.Able to transmog as long as you have a piece of gear with wanted style+ some crystal. Which enables transmog to styles you haven't learn/ uncraftable styles (dsa/ma/as weapons look, maormer/wormcult/reach winter styles etc)

This is my expectation for the datamined transmog system, leave a agree if you agree :)

Everything the OP said. I can't wait for a nice transmorg system to give me more goals in the game, and reasons to play. Just keep it user friendly and easily accessible for all.

If you won't be able to buy "transmog consumable" , crafted by other people to change your gear to the Style you want - it will be useless for 50% players minimum.

Seriously? I might just get the Stalhrim style after all. I was put off by the fact it's more expensive than the imperial edition upgrade (mimic stones) which allows you to change equipment style... Not to mention, the imperial edition upgrade even outclasses buying the imperial motif with crowns (I know, crazy to do when the motif is so cheap to buy with gold) because of its ability to change other sets into imperial too.

Is there any more information available about the transmog?

Nope. We have just been told it's being worked out, and someone datamined a wee bit of code that appeared to do with it.

Im keeping my expectations very low, because I can envision what I want it to be like, but not sure how realistic that would be. I like the way WoW does it, but judging by the poor menus and needless obstacles ESO incorporates, I have large reservations tbh.

I’m expecting it to be a *** poor attempt at “innovation,” like every other WoW mechanic and generic MMO staple these developers have adapted and think they’ve revolutionized. They have an extremely annoying tendency to over complicate simple mechanics.

While I’m expecting tedious crap, I’ll still be very annoyed if I’m right.

Suspect you are right, an system like the one in wow would be perfect in all way, it has all the features wanted.
    1) let other craft gear for you or use special dropped items.
    2) use low level gear, much of the lower level gear looks better.
    3) use other armor classes.
    4) works on weapons. end of red weapons

From the datamining it looks like the system we get is more like costumes 2.0.
Bonus is that you can fast swap with another costume. however I see costumes as non combat gear.
Healed most of WGT before understanding I ran stamina stealth gear for TG quests on healer under costume :)
    4) is also important if you run an healer, having the healing and destro staff looking totally different is important to show who bar you are on, yes I obvious have visible bar but its another indicator then focus is on group and their health.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

This is just another example of a system that sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but ZOS may make it overly complicated to encourage cash store transactions. I really hope they don't tie it complexly into the cash shop, but I have a strong feeling they will to compensate for the crown crates (too much controversy over those in the gaming community these days.) I know they are a business, but getting disgustingly greedy can hurt their public image--and I don't want that to happen. I want ZOS to succeed in making fun systems, but they are seemingly trying to "milk the cow" to death imho. I just wish they would take the long view look on this issue of excess cash shop incentivizing would have on their public image, but I doubt they would care.

Before anyone jumps to conclusions about how they think this is going to work, please remember that we know absolutely nothing about the system, even what was datamined was sparse and open to huge amounts of interpretation, and is not something we can put stock in anyway because datamined material is not guaranteed to be in the final product. Please remember that we had datamined horse racing quests like, two years ago.

Can we be excited that they're working on something? Yes, and please!! Can we offer ideas about what we would prefer it to look like/how we'd prefer it will work? Absolutely! Should we make bold claims about how it's definitely going to work, and use those assumptions to influence our purchasing/gameplay decisions? Good gods, no. Please be responsible and don't bank too heavily on what you've heard or what you've hoped.

As for me, I'd prefer something more like how the existing collections UI works. In this system, things have a high up-front cost (either real money cost or an achievement-based gameplay cost) but then you are free to change things up at will, forever, across all your characters. No need to pay a style material cost every time you want to put on your resplendent Orsinium robes, you just pop that on. No need to make some kind of preset costume of your own, you just select the existing individual slots and modify your look piece by piece. Right now, granted, our only two "armor" slots are "costume" and "hat", but ideally the armor and weapon transmog would be extended to include all current equipment slots.

Now, I wouldn't mind paying a one-time style material cost to permanently unlock access to transmog for that style, but I wouldn't think that to be an ideal situation. Ideal for me would be based on motif knowledge, that way it doesn't interfere too much with crafters because ostensibly if someone knows the motif they can just craft it for themselves to begin with.

I will be furious if there will be some sort of crystal or something I need to acquire, by running dungeons 50+ times, just to be able to change the appearance of my gear. I get it, for stat changes, I understand that. But cosmetic changes? Absolutely not.

I am not bothered in the slightest by needing the style mat, or a mimic stone, and having to know the desired motif appearance. It won't even break my heart if I have to spend some degree of gold on top of all that. But I will not farm dungeons, or even worse spend real cash, for some sort of special appearance transmogging crystal, token, or currency in addition.

But all that being said, I have a haunting feeling the quote: "Prepare to be disappointed." will apply here.
"There is no moisture in your angry stares." - Laughs-at-All
"I don't know why I bother guarding you horrible people." - Orama Sadas

"There are worse masters than I. Far worse." - Molag Bal
