You can save 5-10 seconds this way, no doubt.Turning on "auto-loot" really helps. Takes more time to manually retrieve the loot that it does to pick the locks.

As soon as you open the chest and see the lid start to rise, move on to the next one. Much less game stutter this way.
Also, if you don't get it right away, or you know you're not going to, simply wait long enough and the mini-quest will timeout and reset without having to abandon/reacquire from Breda.
Its not bugged. Try to at least finish the lockpick minigame at around 35 seconds left for the achievement to unlock. I did on my 2 wardens without the use of "force lock".

Wow, can you be any more arrogant? I did it in 25 seconds flat manually. I spent two hours doing it over and over. Restarted console and repeated. It is a bug.
I would think that insisting that one's skill is infallible, while being told repeatedly by others that there is no issue, would be more in line with a definition of arrogance.
Also, repeating it over and over may well cause issues to occur. Or, dropping/failing the quest may invalidate the achievement for that day.
Being treated as if I lack the "skill"(what a *** joke) to unlock chests yet seeing as EVERYONE responding to this thread can do it and on their "first try." Is childish. On that note...https://youtu.be/sizNjr64fQU
The problem is you need to actually loot the chests, or it doesn't update. Without the coins the quest doesn't advance. So, no, this isn't that the achievement is bugged, it's a PEBKAC issue.
The Achievement requirements do not state the requirement of looting each chest to obtain it. It states, "During the Trial of Five-Clawed Guile in Reaper's March, unlock all chests in 35 seconds or less."
To be honest, most of us are playing with autoloot turned on. It's a really convenient feature, and (as it turns out) a major part of being able to finish this achievement in time.
This is also the problem with assuming you're not at fault. When everyone is coming in and saying, "I didn't have a problem," then it's probably a good idea to start asking if you're doing something wrong. In this case, yeah, it was the lack of auto-loot.
Also, even with autoloot, I was not watching a run that would have gotten you the achievement. There was a bit too much fumbling on some of those locks, and you were razor close to the deadline when you finished the last one. Even with autoloot, you lose a few moments while pulling stuff out of the chests. I'm not saying, "you suck," just that this achievement does have a decent skill floor, and you're right on the edge of it. With autoloot, you should be able to get it in a couple tries.
And... yeah, I am kinda mouthy. When someone says, "I'm doing it right, it must be someone else's fault," and then turns their ire on the community. This may come as a shock, but I'm not a particularly nice person. Friendly, helpful, usually generous, but not particularly nice.
Over and over I barely unlock all three chests at 33 seconds and still no achivement. If you expect us to unlock them, retrieve the coins & return to Tamira in that time for it then I want what you people are smoking.
[Edited for profanity]
