PvP is moving around a bit now with Fortified Brass Set which gives more mitigation than heavy armor passives and then you get the benifit of all your medium armor passives, downsides is it's not heavy armor with healing recieved and constitution coming through constant blocking and etc. But there are some good heavy armor sets.
You've got a lot of choices, medium armor fortified brass is now one of them. Otherwise, medium armor is still squishy as heck.
