I've made a post similar to this before but I figured why not do it again! I personally would love a Bard or Shaman style class. The creativity they could have with a Bard I feel would be amazing, Alot of AoE DoTs, Alot of AoE HoTs and alot of group buffs (I know sounds similar to a Warden) We got a Warden which might as well be this games "Ranger" or "Beast Tamer" but I still think we could get more. Let me know y'alls opinions!

    Although I don't think they will release one next year and will do something else for the expansion instead.

    They problem I think some people have with Necromancer is Sorcerer is already almost a combo of a Mage and a Necromancer from other games

    I can understand that, I've always mained Necromancer in other mmo's and as I commented above honestly Sorcerer in this game is a combo between a Mage and a Necro

    I think that the Necromancer stuff should be incorporated into another class rather than being a class unto itself.

    I voted the Shaman archetype because it can bring in some different magic skills to the game and can be positioned as a strong healer class that can also include some necromancy as a related skill. This would be much in the same way that the Sorcerer class includes some Daedric summoning.

    I am not in favor of the Studio's idea to make all their classes "like Warden" and somewhat role universal. I strongly believe that classes should not be balanced according to roles such that every class can fill every role and every purpose equally.

    We are getting a lot of "magic user" skills across multiple classes in this game and they really need to start focusing on something different.

    Strongly agreed. I personally don't think every class should be able to do everything...It just doesn't feel right. Some classes might be able to do 2 out of the 3 things but not all 3. DK can Tank and DPS, Templar should only be able to Tank and Heal but can do all 3, Warden can do everything but should be a tank and healer, Sorc should only be able to DPS and Heal but can do all 3. Nightblades I feel should only be able to Tank and DPS but I feel can do all 3. It adds variety in the game but tbh I don't like it. I mean I guess it being how it currently is allows people to play whatever they want in PvP but in PvE I feel like it should be more set in stone

    As far Bard I just feel they could do alot, AoE HoTs, Alot of buffs regarding resistances and mending and even a couple damage buffs. "Songs" that are AoEs and do DoT damage. "Songs" that are HoTs or even AoE HoTs. Maybe an ult (Correct me if there's already something in the guy just like it) But an ult that's a big AoE that does DoT damage and heals all or the lowest current health allies for a % of the damage done

    Fix, un-nerf, and unbug the ones we have now please. Nightblades shouldn't have to skin fish just to use shade effectively.

    Templars, DKs, and Sorcs should get all of their iconic strong abilities (that have been nerfed to death over the years to patch the broken champion system) unnerfed.

    You’re evidently trying to find parity here with Everquest, which is exactly the way you’re describing the classes.

    Unfortunately, the layout of the game (currently) doesn’t support any more “support” characters. Warden was another catch-all, akin to the Templar pre-nerfs. Any other addition would just be another DPS, but the kind of balancing that it would entail would likely lead to a lot of negative feedback.

    Everquest could get away with it because they started the game with a plethora of classes and supports. Supports were especially important (i.e. enchanters) because fights, and the game itself, was considerably more difficult. One add could mean a party wipe very easily. I think more classes and varying types of gameplay would fit into this game if the encounters were much more difficult. You would need more strategy than simply zerg damage, trials tanks just blocking, and healers healing via standard healing springs/extended rituals.

    Oh, and in that game dying was a BIG deal. Lose a lot of experience, and you had to find a class nearby that could actually res. Sadly, games of that.difficulty (which developers don’t do anymore because they want to attract more casual players) are no where to be found. Simply making this game harder would make it very clear where the classes were unbalanced. It would cease to be just a gear grind, and most encounters would resemble VMOL than Fungal Grotto I.

    THAT'S exactly what this game needs to move forward. Harder. Then you can talk about different classes and such. After the difficulty shows very clearly where the balance issues are, and many of the gear options would stand out as needing changes to make them more viable, then expanding on the structure is viable.

    Here's my suggestion. With the continuous influx of skill points in the game I say they add a new Class Skill Line for each class.
    Give Sorcerer the Necromancer skill line.

    This game should have been classless from the start.

    Diversity wouldn't be more of a problem without classes as it is with them. This game isn't that diverse. There is significant overlap with popular builds from different classes.

    When I said "no classes" I didn't mean "don't add more classes" I meant "no classes... at all... in this game". Yes, you would be playing a game with create a class. That's the point.

    Diversity is why I included the "incompatible" skills caveat. For example if, by wearing heavy armour, you decreased your ability to cast spells by 90% then people would be unlikely to try both. If by holding a staff instead of a sword you increased your spell power by 50% then people would be likely to go that way as a Magicka user. Obviously the system would be more complex than that and have more reasonable increases/decreases but the idea is there.

    Classes are a contrived construct designed to parcel up a set of abilities and effects under an easily chosen option. Give people some credit and let them make the choices themselves. You might get a single build... but I really doubt it.
