Unfortunately they just switched from no CP to CP enabled battlegrounds, why I'm not sure.
You can create a new character and play in under 50 battlegrounds.
But your best bet is playing on the no CP cyrodiil server until you get to 300 or 400 CP. CP are front loaded, so once you hit that number you wont be at such a disadvantage.
I have always mainly PVP'd in MMO's. Grinded high warlord in wow, did arena, mostly pvp in SWTOR, loved the RVR in Warhammer on my Black Orc (RIP), and mostly did PVP in GW2 at level cap, but there is no way in hell I will touch pvp in this game until I am 690cp with a full set of yellow gear and have an OP FOTM build. Based on streams and you tube, I have to wonder if pvp in this game is the most unbalanced I have seen. That really shys me away from it.

The unbalance'ment 'isn't really based on gear quality. It's more based on class and some especific sets. There is some cancer builds and gameplays out there, tho pvp is still quite enjoyable.

ive just hit 160 cp so decided to jump into bg to find I'm against 690cp and being 1 hit!! please tell me cp is atleast scaled but if that's not the case I'm going to be so sadI do not play the game enough to grind 690cp to make myself viable in bg
can someone shed some light on the situation is cp scaled or am I just going to be torn a new hole every time now
They should atleast add the option to play in level 50 bg!

There is nothing enjoyable about perma-blockers sitting on flags and holding on to relics for an entire BGs match. Yes these builds in Cyrodiil are easily countered by walking away and finding a new target but they have completely ruined the BGs experience in the Objective type game modes.
I will agree on the source of unbalance to a degree but in the case of OP, them having 530 less CP than the rest of the lobby is going to be a large issue for them.

lol, How dare someone build to the objective and not melt in 2 seconds to your cancer build?!?!? Tanks actually be relevant in PvP?!? Cant have that now can we?

@LvDPrankWars I specced for PvP two days ago and went for duels to l2p. I played PvP before, but it's been years. I was dueling some people, among them was a CP490 guy who I was practically one-shotting. There were other non-max CP people that were losing to me within 10 seconds of a duel starting. All were agreeing that CP makes such a huge difference (I'm max CP). So I removed all my CP and fought them without. While they felt a difference in my damage, the fights lasted maybe 3 seconds longer, at best. CP makes a difference, but 10 vs 690 won't make or break your build. Someone who knows their build well and knows your skills well will feel like a 1-shot. This only comes with time and practice and, unlike CP, isn't farmable.

Because the tanks OVER-PERFORM in the battlegrounds objective game-modes. Tanks shouldn't be relevant in PvP because it's like fighting a target dummy. In a 4v4v4 game mode it is impossible at many times to even have enough time for all 4 people on your team to kill the perma-blocker holding your relic without having the other team of 4 interfere or the tanks other 3 teammates pestering you enough to where the tank can infinitely sustain.
People not dying in PvP is an issue.
The only cancer builds in PvP are your perma-blocking builds. You don't even know what builds i use and yet come out claiming my build is "cancer". Players like yourself are why BGs are no fun.

Whats your point? DPS builds OVER-PERFORM in 99.9% of this game's content. I don't play battlegrounds myself, but I am absolutely THRILLED that tanks are turning the tables in some small niche in this game, its about time.

thing is with cyrodil I never find anyone and when I do its just huge groups I want to be able to have the 4v4 1v1 feel that bg should provide but zenimax are cleary too stupid to even run this gameI'm so disappointed
