Light attack weaveing, advice needed

Hi everyone,
I've recently dusted off my old bomb blade(yes I'm scum I know) and changed him to a pve character. Whilst I'm having a lot of fun playing him I'm having a very hard time light attack weaving to get 2 spectral bows off during one rotation.
A guildmate watched my dps test and although the score was ok he noticed that I'm doing medium weaves rather than light ones. If a try to light weave the animation doesn't happen & I end up casting 2 force pulses/funnel health.
I play on Xbox One and use an elite controller. On other games I have to change the trigger sensitivity otherwise I can't use shotguns/sniper rifle. I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if the controller is somehow affecting it.

Its just a timing question.

Basically think like this (or don't think about it at all):

Light attack > 1 second > Skill. Then speed up to where the delay between the 2 actions is about 0.1 second, kinda like when you press Roll Dodge or Break Free, where you press the 2 required buttons but not exactly at the same time otherwise it wouldn't register (since it specifically demands you to do LT and then A or RT, not both at the same time). Kinda like Crtl + C or Alt + F4. Same delay.

And its not your controller, you don't need to do anything funky with it, just practice for about 5-10 minutes and you'll get it.

I think the poster above basically just said “slow down”.

Get a good rhythm going. Start with the light attack, then ability, light attack, etc...

Just quickly tap that light attack trigger, don't hold it there. Squeeze and release immediately.

At least, that's what I think your problem is.
