vMoL: Earthgore removing Vashai's negates?

I can't find any data on this on the forums on online, and I'm re-downloading app so I can't test it myself right now.

Does anyone know for sure whether or not Earthgore will remove negates placed by Vashai?

On one hand, the tooltip for Earthgore is clear, and it removes player negates and the AoE effects in vAS, but on the other hand, I would imagine Vashai to be one of those hard-coded exceptions because reasons.

I have plenty of conjecture. Does anyone have proof either way?

Not sure about Vashai, but I have tested it on the Sun Eater negates and it did not work.

Thank you for the data. It is discouraging, but makes sense.

I wonder, do we see those Sun-Eater negates in any other content? They seem to have a unique animation, and I wonder if they have unique-enough coding behind them such that they are excluded from Earthgore's effect by omission rather than by intent.

The line of thinking here would be that Vashai's negates are non-unique enough (literally suppression field by another name) such that they, through similar oversight, are affected by Earthgore.

I may have a chance to check tonight, but hopefully the progression just clears and the question can be moot.

Relatedly: Can you negate Vashai's negates, as you can with the negates of other players and numerous other end-game boss effects?

Vashais negate isn't negateable. Unfortunately, then roaming horror in the nobles district (the giant skeleton boss) has a unique negate as well you could test on it as well.

You're right, that Bone Colossus negate is the same. I will try that.

Pity about Vashai's negates, but I suppose that makes sense.

I hear Earthgore can remove negates and novas in vDSA, but they are not usually enough of a problem to give up a monster helm.

Other than that, I have not found any use for the set. It does not work on anything in vSO, I have tested it on overcharge, call lightning, and troll poison with no luck. Maybe some things in vAA would work, but I have not done much testing there (chain spinners, wisp mother ground AOs, Mage mines?).

I was so excited to read about this set in the patch notes and so wanted it to be a boon in pve. It has its niche uses but I wish it worked on more effects

It works on too many stuff if you ask me. Should work on less things.

I don't pvp much but know it's good for there. I mainly speak from a pve perspective when I do
