Will I lose my ESO steam account if I link my account?

So, I purchased ESO through Humble Bundle Store about a month ago, and I have played on that account and that account has some crowns in it. That account is a non-steam version of ESO.
I am also subscribed to Humble Monthly, and I received ESO steam version as one of the game. I activated and installed the steam version of ESO. So now, I should have 2 ESO account: 1 non steam version which I have played and contains some crowns, and 1 steam version that I have never played and never activated.
When I tried launching the steam version, it gives me option to either create a new account, or link an existing account.
I understand that if I create a new account, I would have 2 ESO account.
What if I chose to link an existing account? Will I "lose" the of the account? (Since I am supposed to have 2 accounts) What would happen to the crowns if I link my account?

For details on linking a non-Steam ESO account to Steam, you can read through the help article here. Linking existing accounts would not cause you to lose the previous account or any crowns currently on the account.
