Moving game files

Good morning everyone,

I recently upgraded my HDD to a SSD, and am wondering if I can speed up the reinstall.

Can I do it like Steam, where I move the game files to the same folder on the new drive, start the launcher process, and it will discover them? I still have the old HDD hooked up as a secondary drive - can I simply point the launcher to the old path?

By the way - I have the old school install, that uses the standalone launcher and not the Steam version.

Thanks in advance

I haven't moved the game files in a long time but it used to work during late beta/early launch as i moved the whole game to a new hard-drive without problems.
Make a backup of your game settings and AddOns which are in your users folder on C, just in case.

After you copy the game to another drive, go to the "Launcher" folder and start the launcher manually, then chose "repair".

Again, that worked for me but that was some 3 years ago, so who knows.

PS: If it does work, don't forget to update any shortcuts you have to the game/launcher since they will still point to the old location.

I ended up just making a shortcut from the old launcher onto my new desktop. It fired up a ran without any issues :)

    Thanks for the input.
