How to report player/s? Should I report them?

It seemed that these players are away from their consoles. They are just standing and spamming with their lightning staves and with their little pets. Disturbing!

You can report players for being suspected bots. Go to the help menu and under Ask For Help there's an option for reporting players.

You can usually tell a bot by:
    • repetitive behavior that goes beyond human repetition, human players will deviate and pause at times
    • a preset path that gets repeated precisely
    • inhuman coordination - those players that aren't practicing for pvp raids, they're following a path as a group without deviation
    • inhuman movement - a lot of precise right angle turns is a good sign of a bot

If you aren't sure, try to talk to them. I've gone in /zone and /say and said "I'm reporting bots in this area, if you are there and aren't a bot, say something." Nothing, no change, no deviation in the routine - and that's a pretty good sign you are dealing with a bot, not a human player.

On the topic of bots, apparently they know they aren't at risk of getting banned or suspended for using bots because I literally saw a bot train run into Elden Root a few minutes ago. I guess they needed to post their stacks of rawhide in the guild store to free up inventory space. But seriously, a freakin bot train rolling into Elden Root like it was nothing. This is why people don't bother to report, because nothing happens and the bot runners know it.

ZOS gets around to the bots, but they take their time about it. The botters know they can get several days, even a couple weeks, out of an account before they need to create a new one.

Still, you are right. I think people see no action from ZOS and figure why bother. I know that I have done that in the past, on more than one occasion.

I think using abilites for fun is a key part of this game and you just have to get used to it.

PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.
