I disagree. The point is that sometimes one operates for a period of time away from major towns, for example camping dolmens or running public dungeons, or even crafting specific sets for people. To "have" to port to town once every 20 hours just to train another tick of riding speed and then get back to what one had been doing off in the corner of the map...
...let's just say I really do see a market here. Not everyone, obviously, but probably enough to justify a Crown Store inclusion.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Several houses have an area you can use as a stable, and you can also design your own. The only significance of the sign is that you are the stablemaster for the stable at that property and the mounts displayed there.
Livestock available for in-game gold would always be welcome, but if given the choice between a stable assistant and actual animals to fill the stable with (cows, chickens, bantam guars, etc), I'd spend the crowns on the animals. I think there's more immediate value there, both in the quantity of items you could buy and the additional role-play ambiance they'd provide.signing off0 -
