Los. Against wardens you have 2 los like crazy to avoid them landing their burst. NEVER FIGHT A WARDEN ON OPEN FIELD THATS THEIR DOMINANT TERRAIN. Same with sorcs and magblade force them into small places .

Is this a secret #nerfWarden thread? Please don't... we might be a good burst but we are very very squishy!

A lot depends! @Mangeli200194 is probably right, but also I was wondering:
- Maybe the Warden was geared for PvP and you were not
- Maybe he has CP allocated and you do not
Each class has weaknesses. Each player has strengths. if i was on a Sorc and wanting to nail a Warden (who can run as dps, tank or heals -- i wonder which your guy was?) then I'd very carefully choose a loadout that might work and pick the battlefield too.
Only in PvP... in PvE Wardens are "okaish" but compared to other classes the are slightly more difficult to play (in PvE)
As for PvP - It is different for duels and different for open world PvP in Cyro.
Stam Warden = best sustain and you can simply out-resource your enemy.
Stam Sorc = Best mobility. You can escape pretty much every time against everything if things will not go your way.
Stan NB = If you will not defeat your enemy fast enough - you need to break combat (cloak). Otherwise pretty much everything will out-resource you. There is a little room for mistake here as there are plenty of skill in game that counter cloak (stealth/invisibility). Un-cloaked stam blade is a dead stam blade.
I say in a 1v1 scenario - probably an average Stam Warden would win every time.
Next would be stam sorc.
As a Stam Blade you need to be more than an "average" to beat stam warden (if that is even possible assuming that both players are equally skilled)...

Simply put, stamblades have a very low skill floor, and a very high skill cap. Even though you destroyed a Nightblade (very easy to do if they're stam) that doesn't mean that they're overall bad. If you happen to encounter a strong stamblade opponent you're going to have a bad time. Wardens on the other hand are very easy to be successful with due to their incredible Survivability, and consistent high burst.
NB probably hardest class to get used to playing and least forgiving. Relies heavily on a more focused meta with certain gear sets and rigid rotation. In my opinion the other classes have more options and choices which still allow you to feel strong and be successful. Stam NB wouldn't be my first choice for solo end game PvE or PvP (specifically duels).
Magicka NBs - can be strong, offer you more utility than stam NB.
Templar - probably still best class for beginners and best all around for all different types of ESO content
DK - can be strong also, great tanks, like templar good for a lot of ESO content
Sorc - Both stam and magicka can be very strong. Real pain in the ass fighting them in duels as a NB.
Warden - Not sure about PvE, but can definitely be strong in PvP from what I have seen
You probably didnt fight a proper stamblade so far.
Even if you did stamsorc usually has an easier than vs stamblades.
Good ones will literally eat you alive and then hide in plain sight.
they're not gonna escape when you have hurricane up, so thats why you think stamblade is an easy match up.
Meanwhile stam warden is just stam Dk on steroids, playstyles are very similar but one is nerfed down to oblivion while the other one is a PvP god.
as a stamsorc you have the tools to burst him harder than he bursts you.
IF you let the fight go on for long Its gonna be bad news for you as stamden has insane sustain, healing.
