What do you do with your gold?

There's gambling? Not going to read through the thread to see whether it's a joke or a misunderstanding. But if there is in any way, that would be stupid.

Lots of siege and gear for me. Anything to increase my pathetic k/d ratio.

    Back in my day...

People played RGB with their engine guardian set, they get 3 people to give betting gold to the dealer with the set on and they have to guess the correct color that procs (red/green/blue) so somebody doubles the gold they put in or they lose it.

Nothing anymore. Blew like 10 mil on furniture and have 10mil in the bank. Acquiring gold is part of the game for me.

Motifs, gold materials... Though eventually make the gold back through crafting.
Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.

Writs crafting is an excellent source of gold: 4K in cash and 2 gold tempers/kuta on average per character each day. The consumable ones have negligible craft cost, the woodworking and blacksmithing ones are about 500 gold, and the clothier ones are a net monetary loss of about 1K, but they make up for it if you look at the big picture. I wish ZoS adjusted the latter to require 50/50% leather and cloth items, instead of 33/66%. Ancestor silk prices are 3x that of rubedo leather so silk clearly doesn't need a sink ATM.

The majority of what I've spent in the past year has been housing and motifs. Usually when I do need to buy gear it's on the stores for a few hundred gold.

I use my gold to make more gold, as well as buy lots, and I mean lots of crafting mats to resell and for personal use...
