I'd rather quit the group and find another PUG.

It's more or less equal amounts of pain, but terrible DPS is slightly worse cause a few Dungeons are basically DPS races, and most of the time everyone has a self heal on their bars anyway.

Then again not having a Tank can make a Dungeon go sideways REAL quick.

If people do PUGs, they are going to get terrible DPS at some point, reason being there are only three categories, and if someone knows they aren't either a healer or a tank, they're forced to check the "DPS" box no matter how good/bad their DPS actually is. (Either that or not do the dungeon at all.) If a player is new to doing dungeons, they're going to check off the DPS box, and might not really know what they're doing. I think this is forgiveable, because every player has to start somewhere.

Fake healers and tanks, though, are obnoxious because it might be a case where they queued as those roles just to jump in line ahead of people. I can't stand that.

Terrible dps on most dungeons, but a fake support role paired with a couple of noobs can mean those noobs constantly dying on adds that the fake support role (mostly likely a dps) agros as they run through the dungeon asking why people are dying. This leaves you somewhere between trying to help the noobs through by healing and killing mobs and keeping yourself alive. That’s probably the worst position to be in.

Do this many people farm dungeons with Pug groups?? So many threads like this....I have played since launch and maybe have ever did a random once or twice with strangers...

My guild could probably do just about every vet dungeon nowadays with one guy afk and everyone else pantless or drunk and still be ok lol.

Join them guilds people! Be social!

Terrible DPS. You can clear all non-DLC dungeons easily without any support. Clearing them without at least one decent DPS is extremely difficult though.

I hope you meant healer, not support. I didn't know that game have support role too. You know healer and support are different roles, right?


Fake healer is worse than bad DPS. We have just one healer and two DPS. The healer's role is keep everyone alive, so if healer is bad then DPS is terrible too. DPSs' role isn't keep theirselves alive. It's healer's job. It's good if DPS can heal himself/herself, but it's always bad to their DPS. They lost their resources.

Let's think tanks too. I have experience to be tank and group had bad healer. It's not funny to revive everyone and heal myself. Now you think: "Hey! It's tank's role to keep damage to himself/herself!". I know. There are bosses, who don't care about taunt or they have skills, which make AOE.

I have one tip to templar healers: Check your passives. There is passive named "Master Ritualist" in "Restoring Light" -skill line. You can revive players faster, when you unlock that. I hope you will exploit it in dungeons or PVP.

healers and tanks are supports, do you even support?

the supports provide SPC buff, major breach and major fracture, magickasteal, combat prayer, aggressive warhorn, HP buff, minor vulnerability, etc.

Worse case scenario is 1 fake support and terrible dps. Since I mostly que as a healer this is an instant rage quit for me. If the tank is real then I can slack off healing and kill enough things to get through.Don't like having to do it thougb.

I can handle poor dps in most dungeons, but other dungeons, not so much.

I remember tanking Spindle Clutch 2 one day and the healer was doing more damage than the dps lol

The dps would only light attack with a bow...

I only remember once playing a healer and we ended up with a fake tank...without someone to hold aggro on most of the mobs and keep everything in a tight ball, as a healer, you now have to give individual heals to people as the fighting is all over the place.

Fake support is worse ... Cos now as DPS we are having to give up damage abilities for buffs, debuffs and self heals resulting in terrible DPS

Subjectively, bad DPS is worse, because it makes dungeon an endless pain.
But, for the name of Justice, I hate fake tanks! So, i am ready to suffer millions of bad DD's just to eliminate fake support role players.
