What's The Point of the Mages/Fighters/Undaunted Daily Quests?

    Agonizingly slow way.

    But, seriously, yeah, the draugr motif pages and style stones are the big draws. Also, for the time commitment, the payout isn't bad. Not particularly good, but not bad either.

    That said, these "pick one possible quest at random," can be prone to streaky behavior. If I get asked to go into those ******** ******* kennels one more ********** time, I will ******* **** **********!

    Many thanks to both of you for this info - it does mirror what I'm seeing, L23 now and got sent to Grahtwood for one of them today. It looks like I won't get sent to the other faction zones until after L50 - oh well...

    Oh and BTW "streakyness" is one of the characteristics of a truly random system.

    Just so you know, you can share these dailies in a group, so it's possible to get 14 or 15 of these quests knocked out in a day.

    I found the drop rate of motifs to be pretty low and gave up doing them.

    Even now, doing Wrothgar dailies to complete my Trinimac motif collection and getting 2 rewards boxes at a time, I have had 2 motifs from about the last 30 boxes - neither of which I need.
    Australian on PS4 NA server.

    Par for the course I'm afraid - I'm nearly convinced that ZOS have somehow developed a "heuristic" RNG which knows precisely what you really, really want and weights _against_ it :/

    The dailies arent too bad for gold too. The containers you get are filled with potions and gear to sell. Theres also the bonus of the gear you get from the places you go. The drop rate is low for the motifs, but thats nothing new.

    I mean, there's about a 1 in 30 chance of dropping Draugr motif pages, so they're really great for making you detest whomever sets droprates at ZOS.

    Even so, it's a miserably long climb. From zero, it will take you something like five months to max out undaunted. Down from a little over eight months before. (With an extra 20 days tacked on the end now.)

    Im pretty sure it does mages guild but it's really slow. Only know this because my mages guild leveled up once after I turned in a quest.

    The mages guild quests helped me get the last bit of xp I needed to unlock meteor on my ps4 templar. They almost never drop any motif pages though. I wouldn't even bother to do the fighters guild ones as you can get that line done in a few hours just grinding dolmens in the alikir desert.

    The Guilds send you to your faction zones for as long as you are leveling, a relic of pre-One Tamriel days that ZOS is not inclined to change. This includes things like the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood murder book quests.

    Level up to CP 160 and that will change.

    Probably developed to be released with... I guess Mirkmire. Then when ZOS dropped the hammer on 1T, the quests were implemented without serious overhaul.

    I mean, I'm guessing. It's possible there's still a basic assumption that you'll progress through the zones in, roughly, the originally intended order; you simply have the freedom to go wherever you want if you choose.
