Anyone else facing Forward Momentum Issues?

I was facing issues in PvP so I went back to Stormhaven for testing.
Aggravated Four TwoHander wielding 'brigands' in the nearby estate. And started Spamming Forward Momentum.
Except EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. any of them used the upper cut, I went flying.

Vicious death too wasn't exploding after I killed some players, but I haven't tested that one yet.

Anyone else facing these issues?

    Forward momentum doesn´t make you immune to stuns. It removes snares and makes you immune to them for 5 seconds (If I recall it correctly)

    Yeah, it's anti-snares (and roots), not anti-knockdown/knockback etc.

    The uppercut is a knockback, not a snare or a root.

    Roots keep you in place, but don't stop you from taking action--you dodgeroll to get out. Like sorc's encase or DK's talons.
    Snares slow you down, obviously.

    The knockback from uppercut is a hard CC and doesn't interact with the Forward Momentum immunity at all.

    aah I see.
    I guess you guys are correct.
    This makes forward momentum a lot less useful than I had thought. Back to using rally I guess.

    Immovability potions do prevent stuns and knockbacks, right?

    Forward Momentum I

    Focus your strength to gain Major Brutality, increasing your weapon damage by 20%.
    Also adds an immunity to snares and immobilizes for 2 seconds and heals you for 0 every 2 seconds.
    New Effect:
    Reduced Cost and Removes Snares

    I tried searching but there were no threads about that. How is there no outrage for this?

    And here I thought the stun from the stealthy concealed weapon skill, was the only primary feature/mechanic that was bugged.

    Thank you very much for clarifying that! Seriously appreciated. Why do immovability pots protect against it? At least I believe they did. When I was dueling I popped one then crit rushed in. The rune didn’t affect me that time. I’ll do some further testing to verify what I believe I experienced though.

    Thats what I thought as well.
    Read the description of the immovability pot. It says something like "protects against knockbacks"
    Which is not something in the description of forward momentum.

    This "immovable" word is whats causing the confusion.
    It also happens to be the very name of the heavy armor active skill. Which does exactly what you and I thought forward momentum should do. Except it is rather expensive.

    Immovable pots give a buff/defense against CC more akin to CC break's temporary immunity (or the immunity from the heavy armor active skill). Those DO protect against hard CC (stuns, disorients, etc.)

    You really can't trust what "makes sense" when it comes to abilities in this game. Read tooltips carefully, test things, etc. etc.

    I think the sorcs rune and the dks fossilize are no disorients anymore because they had so much problems with bugged disorients where the stun immunity didnt work so they just made them a simple but unblockable stun with the cwc update.

    PS: Yes, you have to test everything in this game. You cant draw conclusions from where things seem to work similar because they might work completely different in the end.
