...upgrade hirelings...3 points for a honing stone and 1 rubedite chunk...come on...I get it when the game first dropped...but we're in year, what...3...4?

    Agreed they aren't worth the skill points.

    Done well they would be really great for players that don't have much time to gather mats or gold (to buy mats). Particularly when it often feels like writs are negative value on mats. (its not when you include gold mat chance though)

    It’s time to fire these lazy hirelings and get people that do something. I mean these guys spend 12 hours gathering supplies only to return with 3 ore and a honing stone.

    No its really not...I could max dual wield instead...skill points are not unlimited...I spend 1 hr farming and Ill get 100 * more mats than the hireling gives....

    Actually there are plenty of skill points and more than you will need.
    I have all my crafting maxed including my hirelings plus all my weapons skills maxed and morphed.
    (380 Skill points available).. :)

    I want to add to this, once you are a 9 trait crafter you can take the points out of reduce research times and put them in hirelings that way ur not losing anything only gaining

    With 9 characters and max hirelings you tend to get something golden every day.

    More than enough skillpoints to pick up in the game anyway.

    If anything time to do something with "Snakeblood" - never ever have I put a point into that passive and never will at its current state.

    You get more and better items if they also have all pts into the first trait on the respective line I believe.

    I could not agree more.

    More than 2 years have passed since I informed my Hirelings that they might be more suitable in another kind of employment.

    I demonstrated to them that picking up one ore or wood gave me 3 mats each and more often than not, other useful goodies as well. Runestone gave me several runes - quite often accompanied by rare mats.

    They were very sad to leave - probably because they had such a cushy number - but we parted on good terms.

    I have not heard from them since but I suspect that they might have gone into the services of the Shadowy Supplier and are working for the TG and DB simultaneously. They will need to be careful there!

    True, but you don't need max "Everything".
    There are 539+ Skills & Morphs... There are 380 Skill Points available with more added each Zone DLC.
    I have 360+ SP. I have Crafting, Legerdemain, Both Weapon Lines, Alliance, Race , Armor, WW, and few others Maxed out and have SP's left.
    Yes, there is plenty of Skill points. Especially once you finish 9 Trait crafting and can re-do your Research points.
    Just my 2 drakes..... Huzzah!!

    OK so I'm at 271 SP...got all the SS...1SG in Cyrodill(long term SP)...still have some of Caldwells Gold to do...did main/fighters/mages guild...got a couple form DB...where are the rest at I'm missing...got all the PD group events....dungeons give 1 SP/ea?
