Is now the time to get into stam sorc? People are saying they are trash this patch.

I am looking for a fast, tanky, brawler type that can rush into the fray and put out some damage. I am coming from stam NB and I love the all or nothing play style, but I want to play something more useful in open world zergfest cyrodiil. Is this the class for me and is now the right time to play it?

Now is always the right time to play a character build you think you'll enjoy. If you wait around for ZOS to create your perfect meta moment, it'll never come.

I'm always skeptical of people saying that classes are trash, as that usually refers to "oh, noes, my top tier DPS is slightly lower now" or "oh, noes, what I was doing needs to change slightly." Look at nightblades in Cyrodiil, who are generally adapting to the changes to Clever Alchemist set pretty handily, judging by the players I see in PC/NA Vivec. Same for magsorcs, who don't seem to be much less effective for losing the stun on crystal fragments. Good players have adapted their builds to the changes ZOS made.

Stam Sorcs, played well, can be that fast tanky brawler you want. It will take practice to do that effectively.

I can't play my stam sorc without about 1k mag recovery. It's too essential to thier mobility to not have it. Im in hundings/ red mountain 5 heavy 2 medium dw/snb running jewels of misrule though. I don't play her too often.

Where do you think a good level of mag recovery would be to be comfortable in using steak/ dark deal in medium, id imagine you're using Dd a lot less in medium.

Yeah the clever alchemist changes actually helped my stam NB I think. I am a better stam NB than I was when I was relying on clever to be effective.

Your marauder build seems close, but I might run some higher resistances.

I would stick with TK, but maybe with fortified brass in medium with 7th/hundings? Sustain would be the issue but since I stick with medium and use dubious maybe I would have enough?

In NO CP, there is nothing that beats WoF+RM+Troll, 5H/2M with Bear Haunch and Lingering Health Pots. Proctard for the win.

Why trollking? I feel HP regen is kinda useless after they nerfed it. If u fight vs 3 people u actually always have major defile on u, cutting ur HP regen by 40%-50% with some CP in it (evety *** incap will do lol)

We have tested how much troll king gets affected by defile and it is very small it only reduces the recovery by a couple hundred. Troll King is amazing.

This points to the fact that defile is crap when the target has a high amount of +% healing taken or health regen due to defile being additive with it.

Health regen stacks to +80% pretty easily. Dropping that by -40% defile to only +40% isn't worth the effort that defile takes
