Wow.. This area just goes on and...

There must be 5 different occasions now I thought I'd finished it, but nooooooooooooooo!

It's a dictionary definition of tedious!

Looks like someone just wants the achievement and Telvanni emoticon without putting in any of the work ...

If only it's a good and interesting quest.

    NO IT'S NOT.

    IT'S POORLY WRITTEN.

    IT HURTS YOUR INTELLIGENCE.

I hate quest and I’m not a fan of pve at all I think it’s all boring but when I got marrowind I told myself if I paid for it I might as well do it all.

I ran into this quest and thought the same thing when is this ever going to end. The thing is at the time I thought wow this sucks but when it finally ended I liked it plus got a bunch of cool things along the way.

I would never do it again tbh but as a pvp player and someone that speed runs through quest I can say I enjoyed this one and was happy I took the time to do it.

@TonyRockaroni you are wrong, in my point of view. And so I am, in yours. Telvanni are no parasites. They just have a different moral code, where magic and power are the values of virtue. You say this leads to hypocrisy, ambition, carelesness and blindness. It does depend on the particular Telvanni (Telvanni, not dunmer, because anyone who is powerful enough can become a Telvanni, even that lizard; that´s our meritocracy). There are some powerful, but foolish. Others, like Neloth or Fyr, are wise, and tend to ignore everything that doesn´t interest them. I would not say they´re hypocrites, because they live as they think they have to, following their own and personal beliefs, without any other restriction. They may enslave others, but are free themselves. Perhaps the most free of Tamriel. You say they are ambitious and careless. In a world where gods clearly exist, but are as limited as mortals, one has to grasp his own destiny, answering to his own morals. And blind... Some are, others aren´t. The true power of a Telvanni does not reside on his magicka, but on his will. We do govern ourselves with our perception of ourselves, call it class honor, or ambition, or pride. And we govern the world around us, with magic, because we are part of it, and that´s our way of interacting and understanding it. We rise, we conquer, we understand. We control. We know. We are Telvanni.

    cf: RP.

I will that say that there are exceptions to every rule. I do not question the honor of the likes of wizards such as Divayth Fyr. However, when it comes to the likes of mages such as Therana, Dratha, Gothren, or Ralasa, that i another story altogether. They see my people as nothing more than beasts! A lesser race meant to serve and bend to their will. We walk thee same lands and breathe the same air, yet we are beneath the Telvanni in their eyes. And that is something I cannot forgive. And surely the Hist has not forgiven this as well. After all, House Telvanni is not the great house it once was in the present day. If they were not so blind to the outside world, maybe my people would have shown them a bit more mercy. Instead, the spine of vengeance was erected, and your people paid for their mistakes with blood.

But one thing I must also counter; you state that the Telvanni are, perhaps, the most free people of Tamriel. And yet these magisters chose to lock themselves away in their towers, secluding themselves from the outside world around them. Perhaps they simply felt they were too good for the outside world. Or perhaps there were hidden feelings within their souls? We may never know. But the way the Telvanni keep to themselves, secluding themselves from the rest of the world? Can people truly be free if they are prisoners to themselves?

Clearly, there is much about your house that my kind, and probably the rest of the world, will never truly understand. but know this; the people the Telvanni considered nothing more than beasts? They will never truly understand us. You cannot truly know unless you have a thorough understanding of the Hist. The Hit are not just trees we worship as Magister Therana believes. The Hist is part of all of us. It immortalizes us. Our bodies may fade with time, but our memories flow forever through the Hist's rivers, passing our knowledge, our history, to each new generation. Even in death, we are all connected to one another. We all grow from the roots of the same tree.

You seem to have a better explanation of Telvanni waste than mot I have encountered. Obviously, not all of your house is entirely to blame for the suffering my people endured. After all, House Dres built the majority of their culture on slavery and deemed it their right. One may argue they have even suffered more from the hands of my people. Though House Telvanni was just as guilty, even if not all of their members were entirely responsible. In any case, I do hope that House Telvanni understands the errors that were made by individuals such as Gothren and Dratha. We are not merely beasts, and we are not slaves. We are free. We are one. We are Saxhleel.

(( OOC: I will admit that I don't loathe ALL of House Telvanni...and I do like their architecture. XP I'm just a huge Argonian lore buff and am a little biased towards them...maybe more than a little! XD But they are definitely NOT just beasts! >:c
    Side-note, I do enjoy the debating! ;) ))
