Do you use a monster set on your healer?

I only use a helm. Troll Kind in pve and Pirate's in pvp. I never use a full monster set.

If I could find a place to make it fit maybe? For dungeons I use SPC Julianos & Master Staffs. Trials I swap Julianos for mending or Worm.

If I'm using a master resto, then I don't use a monster set, but if not, then I use a heavy helm to benefit from the 1 piece bonus and also the HA and undaunted passives.

I don't have a master's restoration staff yet but I have 2 spc staves: 1 lightning 1 restoration. This give me a free spot so I have a 1pc monster, grothdar, for its bonus. Once I get the 1 pc staves off it will go

For PVE, I run x2 Earthgore, x5 Worms, x3 Willpower, and Asylum Restro/Destro.
For PVP, I run x2 Earthgore, x5 Worms, x4/5 Kagrenacs (SnB on backbar).

try the middle chest when you get more pieces It gives magicka and stamina for 1 piece.

I sometimes use 1/2 Pieces in heavy for a bit more health and Maximum Magicka/Magicka Recovery/Spell Damage with SPC (including resto & lightning staves) and another 5p set. But for trials 5 SPC with another 5 from another set, master resto and Maelstrom lightning is my standard setup.

I only mentioned trials since in 4 man content an off-heal DD is always better, preferably Templar or NB.

For some reason they don’t nerf the over used healing sets. Although there arguement for nerfing dps sets is when one set is used way more then any other set... I guess that is just a dps thing.

I had to re think this because not everyone is gonna have Masters or Maelstrom weapons. Before I had that, I was healing with SPC and Worm or mending and would use 1 piece monster for regen or you could go max magic. I’ve no idea what a stam healer would use.

For a dungeon healer, a monster set with willpower and SPC would probably work well now I thin’ about it. But your damage dealers might rather you wear support.

I did wear 1 piece chokethorn on my healer for the regen until I a master resto, working on the vma lightning destro.

Lol. It is actually a viable build, best done on Warden. Powerful assault and War Machine work nicely.

Just one piece (a heavy Molag Kena piece or any other monster set piece with magicka reg), otherwise there is no place if you wear 2 x 5 set pieces (SPC + Worm / SPC + Mending). If you have a master resto staff there is not even room for one undaunted piece.

Viable where? Better off just dpsing and not even bother with thinking that your group has a healer.

I dont believe that would be viable anywhere beyond normal dungeons.

i actually use Grothdarr

Im kinda offensive close combat healer playing only with PUGs (everything except vet DLC and trials). Naturally my mates are mostly bow-light-attack Legolases and 2h Dovahkiins

So i get rid of all Resto skills, SPC and other "cool story bro" things. Acting like a 3rd DPS for my enjoyment using Purifying, Ritual and occasionally BoL.

In that case I would go for full DPS build. If they can't survive off Ritual of Retribution because they run around like headless chicken I consider that their problem, not mine

In PVP, Troll King (heavy). Furthermore, I run Kagrenac's Hope on front bar (1H&Shield) just for faster pick-up's, and actually a weird thing like Stendarr's Embrace on resto staff backbar. Haven't been running it for too long, but it seems to me there's a lot less need for healing in general, when I rid people of all these burning, poison, bleeding, disease and what not. I dunno, time will tell I guess.

PvE: Asylum Resto/lightning destro, SPC, Sanctuary.

Still a work in progress though, as always. Lord Warden is just a place holder until I get my grubby hands on an Earthgore head.
