ZOS Change the Banker and Merchant AI Package - They must stay STILL

I bought the Merchant and Banker recently and I can't believe such sloppy and inconvenient choice to assign that AI package.

They walk away after you close the trade window, so you are forced to go after them to interact again, this is absurd, I shouldn't be forced to chase the assistant.

Plus there is that annoying issue where the interface suddenly closes because, again, the Assistant decided to move!

Really ZOS, are you kidding? Those Assistants do not come cheap in the Store, we are talking about quite expensive products, and this is a very simple change. There are no excuses.

    Their normal position is behind us. So, they conveniently spawn in front of us so we can access them when ease, however, it would be a poor AI design for them to remain in front of us which is why they move behind us after we initially access them or move our character, whichever happens first.

    No look, it's not about spawn point and there are not excuses of any sort, they assigned an AI where they move every now and then, they must change it to basic idle and that's it.

    It's not about spawn point, it's about AI package that instead of making them standing on basic idle, makes them move around, the only move they must do is to follow once we walk or run, not to go for a stroll.

    I would be happy if they just fix the issue where the interface suddenly closes.

    It's the same one, the AI assigned makes them move, that's why the interface suddenly closes.


    I really don't know what they are thinking, it's not like these products are cheap as hell to feel free to leave there such annoying issue.

    I would like an option to dismiss while in the selling window. Unless there is an option to do that I had missed.

    How about the constant issue having to reset them in a house because each time you load in they have decided to take a break from interactions with visitors. PS4 Na

    Yes, that's bad design unless I missed it too, it's something that should have been present from the start.

    I don't know about that, never put one in the house so I never encountered the issue, that too must be annoying as hell I'm sure; it's still the case of their assigned AI for which they decide to go for a stroll and this breaks the interaction, in this case though could also be related to the houses (there have been users reporting strange issue while trading in houses) since you are forced to reset them.

    Anyways, the AI can be changed in no time, that has been an oversight they never cared to correct and it's awful from them considering how expensive these products are.

    i agreed, those bankers and merchants seem to have a real bad ADHD and little hyperactive, they move, like one enchanter in Belkarth, he reset so often as i wasnt finish shopping for runes.
    put chain-ball on them.

    It's exactly that, the AI is similar as some npcs like the two Bankers in Sentinel (after little time the interface closes because they move), while the right AI that should have been assigned is the one other Bankers have (where the interface remains because they just do their basic idle and stay in there, as the Craglorn Banker).

    The assistants have a "Follow" AI (same one as non-combat pets probably, didn't observe that) and let's say the "Wait" one, when they are waiting for the trade to open or after the trade, for which they move even in larger range than those npcs, while they should just stay still and don't walk away at all.

    Now ZOS, how professional of you to sell a product for such amount of cash and do not even correct such big nuisance that requires tiny amount of effort and time.

    The banker assistant always walks away from me which closes the bank window. It's very annoying.

    Speaking of the assistants, I call my merchant assistant 'American Gods' because it looks like Bilquis from American Gods.

    It's really annoying when Tythis ends the banking session by moving -- especially when it happens just as I'm clicking an item and light attack an npc instead.
