I really didn't like the quest-line. Maybe it was because it was broken up in to so many different quests but I have to agree with OP that it seemed long.

Interesting. Sadrith Mora is one of the places where the opportunities for questing were vastly greater than what ended up in the game.

The quest line was really interesting to do once, but it's one of those quest lines that's too long and drawn out to do on different characters.

LoL. Whatever. I haven't had a problem with the rest of Vvardenfell. This particular area/questline just seems to go on forever, and it frankly became boring after so long.

I actually want more of these quests that are long and involved. Maybe a little less of running back and forth between the same couple locations but otherwise good. I also wish there was more endings that actually alter the way things turn out in a larger scope.

I did the quest on one character, completely. I'm really not looking forward to doing it again on another. Not because I don't want to do the work. Akatosh knows I don't care about the Telvanni emote. I don't want to do it again because I found very quickly that I don't like the power-hungry, greedy, ambitious, amoral, devious, scheming little git that gives you the quests.

No problem helping the first argonian slave. He wants to be free and free his friends and companions. Her, on the other hand.... apparently wants to be a Telvanni with all the power and prerogatives that entails, including owning slaves.

Really doesn't help that so much sneaking and stealth is involved with what seemed to me to be a large majority of the quests. My Nord heavy armor sword and shield dk isn't exactly built for "stealth" activities. While I'll probably have a much easier time doing the quests with my nb, it isn't going to change my take on whether Sun is worth the effort or not.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Sun's questline. I'm not sure it runs too long, or just... I mean, it's a quest where there really should be multiple paths. I understand that this is a serious pain for ZOS, but if there was ever a quest where you should have had branching paths, it was Sadrith Mora's.

I liked the questline and felt that it was a reasonable length for a questline that rewarded a skill point. It works best if you sympathize with Sun-in-Shadow and have some familiarity with the Telvanni, and you desperately hope that she won't sink as low as she does. It's a bit silly to complain about needing to sneak when, because there's no Sneak skill, any character is as effective at skulking as any other (as in avoiding detection -- a character with Champion Points and Legerdemain passives can sneak longer, but everyone can use invisibility potions and hiding spots).

If you're a hardcore Telvanni roleplayer with a staff up your arse, you probably won't enjoy it, but then again I don't think you'd enjoy any Telvanni questline that wasn't about amassing your own power. I mean I wanted to give Magister Gothren a kwama egg suppository but we can't all get what we want.

I never see anyone complain about the Balmora questline, which is only one quest shorter and also contains a lot of running around and sneaking.

Yeah, not a fan of that one either. And this is from someone who had more characters join House Redoran in the original single player Morrowind than any other; literally dozens over years. Currently my second character to start Morrowind still hasn't touched the Balmora or Sadrith Mora quests. I allowed Clockwork City to totally distract me from continuing Morrowind mostly because I didn't want to deal with those quests yet. I will do them, eventually. But I'm feeling a sudden interest in getting all the skyshards in all the faction zones and all the world bosses in all the faction zones, and all the public dungeons in all the faction zones before I go back to do those two quests in Morrowind.....

This quest goes above and beyond. Long before the end of the quest, it is pretty clear where it is going, and the player gets more tightly bound to the rails. There are decisions that could be made by the player, but the story writer wasn't interested in that. MMOs, and even ESO, have quests where the story writer allowed the player to make cosmetic decisions. Not so in this case. Desperately needed in this case.

Sadrith Mora, like so many other places in Vvardenfell, suffers from the fact that once you complete the locale’s quest line, there is no reason to ever visit it again as there is nothing to do there. You can’t farm in the town because there are not enough NPCs and containers to make it worthwhile. There are no dailies to complete there. The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood job quests never send you there (or to any DLC zone for that matter). It’s quite sad, really.

Argonian parasite, you say...interesting. Because, according to the definition of the word "parasite", the Telvanni are some of the biggest parasites I have ever seen! They exploit a race they do not understand to avoid having to pay anyone or *GASP* actually do work themselves for once! So not only are Telvanni parasites, but they are LAZY parasites.

Except the fact that she's morally misguided actually makes the quest interesting! Sun-In-Shadow is one of the more intriguing characters in my opinion. She is confused, yet it isn't really her own fault. At least, not entirely. It's her upbringing.

She may be an egg-sister, but all she truly knows is the life of a Telvanni. She even states that her parents were Telvanni (whether they were actual members like a hireling or retainer, or if they were slaves, i irrelevant). She grew up a Telvanni, it isn't her fault that she was born with scales and a tail instead of dark skin, red eyes, and a staff far enough up her backside to cast spells through her mouth.

As for the quest's storyline, I feel it was told rather well.Sun-In-Shadow letting herself be taken over by her upbringing and letting her desire for power blind her from the truth and (if you chose to let Eoki go free) cost her the person she loved most.
And if I really were her friend, I would be calling her out on her hypocrisy, ambition, carelessness, and blindness to whatever she doesn't want to see.

    Hypocrisy, ambition, carelessness, and blindness...
Telvanni are hypocritical regarding their views of other races.
They start out with ambition that eventually turns to a desire for more and more power.
They can definitely be careless on numerous occasion (and with more than just their magic).
And they are blind to any consequences any of their actions may lead to.
These aren't simply the traits of Sun-In-Shadow, these are the traits of HOUSE TELVANNI. And these traits are part of the reason why House Telvanni is practically nothing as of the 4th era.

...that said, I also wish there was a way to open her eyes. Because being a Telvanni forces you to adopt these traits. But alas, I think even the player's character knows that Sun-In-Shadow is one Argonian that has strayed to far from the Hist to be able to go back. Her obsession with House Telvanni is practically an addiction. Her story is pretty tragic, but it's the story he chose to write for herself. She said it herself; he did the right thing, but it brought her no joy. Little wonder that other members of House Telvanni do the wrong thing so often.

    I don't despise Sun-In-Shadow, I feel bad for my egg-sister. :<

@TonyRockaroni you are wrong, in my point of view. And so I am, in yours. Telvanni are no parasites. They just have a different moral code, where magic and power are the values of virtue. You say this leads to hypocrisy, ambition, carelesness and blindness. It does depend on the particular Telvanni (Telvanni, not dunmer, because anyone who is powerful enough can become a Telvanni, even that lizard; that´s our meritocracy). There are some powerful, but foolish. Others, like Neloth or Fyr, are wise, and tend to ignore everything that doesn´t interest them. I would not say they´re hypocrites, because they live as they think they have to, following their own and personal beliefs, without any other restriction. They may enslave others, but are free themselves. Perhaps the most free of Tamriel. You say they are ambitious and careless. In a world where gods clearly exist, but are as limited as mortals, one has to grasp his own destiny, answering to his own morals. And blind... Some are, others aren´t. The true power of a Telvanni does not reside on his magicka, but on his will. We do govern ourselves with our perception of ourselves, call it class honor, or ambition, or pride. And we govern the world around us, with magic, because we are part of it, and that´s our way of interacting and understanding it. We rise, we conquer, we understand. We control. We know. We are Telvanni.

My problem with that quest is some of it…no most of it, is so telegraphed it hurts, and it gets worse because despite knowing what it is that you are about to do, you no no choice but to go through with it. Like really? delivering fresh baked goods to an enemy…? really? that certainly leaves a bitter taste.
    Ummm stuff… about stuff…or something.
